Official news about the City of Cedar Park from the City of Cedar Park

Reminder: Important Trash & Recycling Service Update – Starting June 16, 2025

Residents using personal carts (not the blue/green City-branded carts) will have their personal carts tagged, advising them that, effective June 16, only City-branded carts will be serviced.

This advance notice is to provide time for residents to order an additional cart from the City, if needed, for an additional monthly fee.

City-branded carts are designed specifically for the truck mechanism for efficiency, effectiveness, and collection staff safety.

The personal carts placed for collection are not of uniform size or shape, are incompatible with the truck’s pick-up system, and are confusing as to whether the cart is trash (considered one of the seven extra items residents can place by the curb).

Is your cart overflowing? Add an extra 95-gallon Cedar Park trash cart to your service for just $5.50/month!

Plus, you can still place up to 7 extra bags or bulk items next to your cart each week for pickup. To request a new cart or make changes to your service, visit:

Thank you for helping us keep Cedar Park clean, safe, and beautiful!

Construction Notice for The Preserve at Caballo Ranch Residents

Starting Monday, June 16, a contractor will begin repairs on the main driveway access at The Preserve at Caballo at Ronald Reagan due to a void under the asphalt in the outgoing lane.

-The outgoing lane will be closed during repairs.

-The incoming lane will remain open, pending further damage assessment.

-Please use the two commercial driveways to the north and south for exiting the community.

Every effort to leave the incoming lane open will be made, but it is possible that it will have to temporarily close, pending further damage assessment.

Work is expected to be completed within a week, weather permitting and depending on the extent of the repairs needed.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we make these important repairs! Stay alert and please follow all posted signage in the area.

You are invited to become an exciting part of Cedar Park by submitting your work for a year-long period of display in the Cedar Park Community Sculpture Garden! Entries are being accepted now through July 11.

Since its creation in October 2013, the Sculpture Garden has been a treasured cultural asset in the Cedar Park community. Stage 3 Water Conservation Measures

The City of Cedar Park remains in Stage 3 Water Conservation Measures, which includes a change in residents’ mandatory outdoor watering schedules. Under Stage 3, Cedar Park water customers may water ONE designated day per week.

The Stage 3 Water Conservation Measures are aimed to meet the LCRA's call to reduce the City’s overall water consumption now that the combined storage levels have fallen below the threshold in the Drought Contingency Plan.

Please find your watering day and review all the Stage 3 measures at WaterThriftyCedarPark.org.

Thank you for your part in conserving our water, Cedar Park!
