May 2, 2026 Election Information

The May 2, 2026 Election is approaching, and there are several important resources available to help residents prepare.

Voters can find information on Williamson County elections and polling locations on their website.

Travis County voters can view current election details and polling location information at on the Travis County elections site.

This year, Cedar Park voters will also consider several proposed amendments to the City Charter. On May 2, 2026, Propositions A through O will appear on the ballot. If approved, these propositions would amend the City of Cedar Park City Charter.

To help voters understand each proposed change, the City has published the 2026 Charter Amendment Summary, available now on the City’s Elections webpage.

As a reminder, the Cedar Park Public Library is not a polling place. The Cedar Park Rec Center is a polling location for Williamson County residents. Other Cedar Park polling locations can be found here.

Cedar Park is on the Move

On April 2, 2026, Cedar Park launched LiNK Cedar Park, a new microtransit pilot program designed to make getting around the community easier, more affordable, and more accessible for residents, workers, and visitors.

Signing up for LiNK Cedar Park is quick and easy.

This City-sponsored program supports the City Council’s strategic priorities for mobility and connectivity and reflects recommendations outlined in the City’s Mobility Master Plan. Community input gathered during the 2020 Transit Study and the Mobility Master Plan highlighted interest in flexible, on-demand transportation options that can better connect people to destinations across Cedar Park and the broader region.

LiNK Cedar Park represents a modern approach to public transportation. The pilot program is a partnership between the City of Cedar Park and TRIPPP Consulting, working in collaboration with Uber for rideshare service and zTrip for Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAV). Together, these partners will help provide flexible transportation options that serve a wide range of mobility needs across the community.

Through the program, eligible rideshare users will receive one Uber voucher with 10 rideshare trips per month. Riders pay the first $5 per trip, and the City-sponsored program covers up to $10 of the trip cost, with riders responsible for any remaining amount beyond the first $15. Riders who require Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles through zTrip will also pay the first $5 per trip, and these rides are not currently capped on the number of monthly trips.

Whether you need a ride to run errands, make shopping trips, or a lift to a program or event within the City, LiNK Cedar Park will help keep our community connected.

NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE

New Hope Drive (Main Street to CR 180) – Including 183A intersection

The City of Cedar Park has a new traffic pattern change along New Hope Drive between Main Street and CR 180 - including the intersection at 183A - as part of ongoing roadway improvements.

Beginning the week of March 30th, traffic has shifted to accommodate the next phase of construction.

Please refer to the overall New Hope Corridor Map at www.cedarparktexas.gov/NewHopeExpansion for details on the updated traffic configuration.

Key Change at New Hope/183A Intersection

Part of 183A Innovative Intersection - the left turn lanes from the 183A Frontage Road onto New Hope Drive will differ.

This applies only to northbound and southbound drivers on the 183A Frontage Road who plan to turn left onto New Hope Drive. All directions of travel along 183A Frontage Roads and New Hope Drive will be maintained, allowing vehicles to continue moving safely through the corridor. The new traffic pattern is highlighted in the animation.

Drivers are encouraged to follow posted signage, use caution in the work zone, and plan for minor delays while improvements are underway. Thank you for your patience as we work to enhance this corridor.

Live @ Lakeline is Back!

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready for a fun-filled evening. Lakeline Park is located at 1510 Alexis Dr., Cedar Park, TX 78613, and each event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Every summer, our aquatics team works hard to ensure a safe, fun experience for the community. Lifeguards play a critical role in that effort, gaining valuable leadership skills, lifesaving training, and hands-on experience that looks great on a résumé. It’s more than a summer job; it’s a chance to build confidence, responsibility, and teamwork skills that last a lifetime.

While many applicants wait until April or May, those who apply early have the advantage. Early applicants have more flexibility in scheduling certification courses, securing preferred shifts, and completing onboarding requirements before the busy season begins.

Spring Yard Trimmings

It's that time again, Cedar Park!

Spring Yard Trimming Recycling will be collected weekly through May 8, 2026.

Yard Trimmings Pickup happens weekly on your regular trash day.

No plastic bags – use paper lawn bags or bundles tied with natural twine (max 4 feet long, 40 lbs). Yard bags must be dry to be collected. Please do not set them out in the rain.
Bags should be placed three feet from other items (trash and recycling carts, bulk trash, etc.).
Branches, leaves, and grass clippings welcome!

The Parks and Trails Foundation of Cedar Park (PTFCP) will be hosting their 3rd Annual Earth Day Celebration on April 26, 2026 at Lakeline Park!

This free, family-friendly community event kicks off their annual capital fundraising campaign.

The event supports the foundation's mission to educate, engage, and inspire the Cedar Park community with a magical and inspirational day, including a drum circle, entertainment, educational booths, interactive activities, demonstrations, food vendors, marketplace vendors, a silent auction, and more.

As our parks and trails continue to see increased use, we’re reminding everyone that a little courtesy goes a long way.

Whether you’re walking, running, biking, or rolling, shared use paths are for everyone, and safety starts with awareness and etiquette.

Practicing good etiquette helps prevent accidents, keeps traffic flowing smoothly, and ensures an enjoyable experience for all users. Please take a moment to review new signage that you may see around paths and trails in the near future, and do your part to keep our trails safe, welcoming, and accessible for everyone in the community.

Council Members presented a proclamation recognizing April 2026 as World Wish Month.

Council Members presented a proclamation recognizing April 2026 as Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month.

Mike Huber, Assistant Director of Utilities, was recognized at last night's council meeting for her ten years of service. Council Members and the City of Cedar Park are grateful for Mike's dedication to our community and our residents.

The most recent City Council meeting took place on April 9, 2026.

The Cedar Park City Council meeting this week focused on maintaining the City's commitment to sustainability and mobility. Here are the highlights:

Council Members authorized an agreement for the construction of the 2026 Major Road Resurfacing Project in an amount not to exceed $1,403,910 and an agreement for the construction of the 2026 Neighborhood Road Resurfacing Project in an amount not to exceed $2,210,484. This work will be done when school is out of session to prioritize safety for residents and children.
