Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
is tonight, December 1
Join our Parks and Recreation Department in lighting the Heritage Oak Tree.

Friday, December 1

Illuminated with over 50,000 lights, this event is a shining tradition and family favorite. The 2023 celebration will also recognize the City's 50th Anniversary.

There will be a Pop Up Santa at the tree on December 2 & 9 from 6:30-8:30 P.M.

Mayor Jim Penniman-Morin is Mother Ginger
Mayor Jim is representing the City of Cedar Park on December 16, at 2:00 P.M. playing the character of Mother Ginger in Ballet Austin’s production of The Nutcracker!

He will join a group of professionals from Central Texas to celebrate the holiday tradition in Ballet Austin’s 61st annual production of The Nutcracker. 

Tickets to all performances by Ballet Austin are on sale now!
Blue Santa donation boxes are now open
Please donate a new, unwrapped toy to our Blue Santa program! There are boxes all over town.

TxDOT wants your help
TxDOT and CAMPO are conducting a study to identify and evaluate potential improvements to Parmer Lane (Farm to Market 734) from MoPac (Loop 1) to Whitestone Boulevard (Ranch to Market 1431) in Travis and Williamson Counties.

CAMPO and TxDOT will have an open house with both in-person and virtual options to participate in identifying potential improvements for the corridor.

Cedar Park is victorious once again!
Cedar Park took FIRST PLACE in Texas for the 2023 National Night Out event for cities of similar size. Thank you to our residents for participating, you are all winners!

National Night Out is important because it:
  • Heightens crime and drug awareness
  • Generates support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs
  • Strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
  • Sends a message to criminals to let them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back

The last City Council meeting took place on November 30.
Highlights included:
  • A Proclamation recognizing November 2023 as Native American Heritage Month
  • A Resolution authorizing an amended Meet and Confer Agreement with the Cedar Park Professional Firefighters Association for the term of October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2025
  • A Resolution authorizing agreements to furnish and install interior and exterior furniture and furnishings at the new Library in an amount not to exceed $1,675,003.53
