The July 9 City Council Meeting was entirely remote, with City Council Members as well as members of the public participating in a video conference call.

Council discussed, among other items:
  • City of Cedar Park’s COVID-19 Declaration of Local State of Disaster, including the Mayor’s and Governor’s Mask, Mass Gathering and Social Distancing Orders.
  • The issuance of Utility System Revenue Bonds to finance Cedar Park’s portion ($29M) of the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater System (BCRWWS) East Plan Expansion. The BCRWWS is a partnership between the cities of Cedar Park, Round Rock, Leander and Austin.
  • The third and final takedown of $31.332M in 2015 voter-approved bonds for the following categories: Streets and Roads ($10.305M), Library ($18.5M) and Parks ($2.527M).
  • The issuance of 2018 voter-approved $19.155M in Certificates of Obligations (COs). These consist of $10M to address inflationary costs of the new library construction and fund public parking spaces for library patrons within a parking garage that is part of the Bell Boulevard Redevelopment Project, and $9.155M in COs to finance high priority drainage projects identified in the City’s Storm Water Master Plan.
