Everyone has a role to play to reduce and slow the spread of COVID-19:
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face covering.
  • When you go out in public stay at least 6 feet from other people.

Fireworks Canceled
After much thought and careful deliberation, we regret to announce the cancelation of the July 4th fireworks. We know this is disappointing, but appreciate your understanding while we take these steps to keep our community and staff safe during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Most fireworks are illegal in and just outside of Cedar Park City Limits
Fireworks stands open on June 24, 2020. The Cedar Park Fire Department reminds everyone that most fireworks are illegal in and around Cedar Park. In addition to potentially starting a fire, fireworks can result in serious injuries, particularly to children. Read more HERE

Mayor has signed a new Order regarding access to and occupancy of certain facilities and premise
Mayor Corbin Van Arsdale signed a new  Order Regarding Access to and Occupancy of Certain Facilities and Premises  on June 23, 2020. The Mayor previously signed a  disaster declaration  for the City of Cedar Park on March 17, 2020. This declaration was extended with consent of the City of Cedar Park City Council on March 22, 2020.

Public meetings
We are taking proactive steps to limit the exposure and spread of COVID-19. For all in-person meetings of City Council, Boards, and Commissions, all persons will be screened for COVID-19 via non-invasive temperature check and CDC-recommended symptom/contact-related questions administered by a city employee before entering the public meeting room.

If you are attending a City Council meeting, please know:
Limited social distanced seating will be available
Masks are highly encouraged and available upon request. Health checks—temperature to be taken and health questions will be asked—will be performed at the door
If speaking: remain in the room long enough to speak
then proceed to Building 4 to watch the live stream

Become an exciting part of Cedar Park by submitting your artwork for a year-long period of display in the Cedar Park Community Sculpture Garden. The Board will accept entries of large-scale, free-standing and interactive sculptures and welcomes all artists - professional, amateur and student.

The June 25 City Council Meeting was held in-person, with physical distancing considerations, in the Multipurpose Room of Building 3 at City Hall Campus.
Council discussed, among other items:
  1. City of Cedar Park’s COVID-19 Declaration of Local State of Disaster
  2. Due to increasing numbers of positive case counts and hospitalizations, the 4th of July fireworks have been canceled
  3. The City will be holding a series of short "pop-up parades" in neighborhoods across Cedar Park
  4. Second reading to authorize the conveyance of 13.41 acres in Cedar Park Town Center for economic development was approved
