On Thursday, November 19, 2020, Williamson County moved into the Red Phase of COVID-19 transmission indicating the highest level of viral activity. Fortunately, Cedar Park incidence levels are not driving the overall risk the County faces. However, the City is modifying some of its operations as a precaution and to reduce the risk of further spread within the community.
Effective Monday, November 23, 2020:
- All City office and facility lobbies have limited access. In some cases, doors will be locked and signage will be posted, instructing visitors to please call the specified phone number and staff will come to the door to assist them. The Municipal Court lobby will be closed to the public.
- The Library will maintain all virtual programs and digital lending. All physical items must now be put on hold and can be picked up in the lobby or curbside.
- The Recreation Center will reduce capacity from 75 percent to 50 percent, with the same online reservation system in place.
The City asks residents to continue the great work of following the CDC’s recommendations:
- Maintain a physical distance of at least 6 feet from others outside of household.
- Wear a face covering if not able to maintain physical distance.
- Avoid large in-person gatherings.
- Wash hands.
- If sick, stay home.
The City of Cedar Park will continue to review any new information as it becomes available and keep the community informed of any updates via its website and social media channels.
