Bell District Project Update
Bell is moving right along! You'll recall that the Bell District is a walkable, mixed-use development that will be located in the heart of Cedar Park. It will be anchored by the new Library and will center around 16 acres of greenspace being transformed into The Backyard.

Bell District Master Developer RedLeaf briefed City Council this week, sharing their progress on planning and design. Preliminary plans are submitted to the City and they'll start construction in 2022 on the Phase 1 infrastructure. Looking forward, RedLeaf is marketing to unique retail and food/beverage tenants as well as planning and designing the The Backyard.

What is The Backyard?
With a great lawn anchoring 16 acres of greenspace, The Backyard will be a special place where visitors can connect with each other and nature along The Trails or next to the meandering creek. It will bring the community together for lawn games, live music, outdoor movies and more. Click here for more information on the Bell District.

Let's hear it for the Cedar Park Fire Department!

The Cedar Park Fire Department was notified this week that it maintains its Accredited Status with the Center for Public Safety Excellence. In addition, Fire Chief James Mallinger was re-designated Chief Fire Officer for the Center for Public Safety Excellence for another three years. The Cedar Park Fire Department is a full-time, professional fire department, and the City of Cedar Park has an ISO Rating of 1, which could mean savings on your homeowners insurance.
