Residential Safe Room Rebate Program

Interested in installing a Tornado Safe Room in your home?

Interested in funding to help pay for it?

Let us know!

The Cities of Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster are gauging public interest in a joint Safe Room Rebate Program through future FEMA grant projects. The program would provide funding to aid homeowners with the installation of storm/tornado shelters in or nearby their homes by reimbursing half the cost of the purchase and installation of a certified safe room/shelter, up to $3,000 per shelter. The safe room must be FEMA compliant and meet the guidelines in FEMA P-320 (Taking Shelter from the Storm).
