We are thrilled to announce that High Point has become the first Certified Autism Destination on the east coast! Join us at the press conference on May 9 at 2:00 p.m. EDT at the Nido & Mariana Qubein Children's Museum where we'll celebrate the work of our partners in this initiative and discuss what this means for our city.

This distinction is awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) and recognizes the city’s commitment to making its attractions, hotels, restaurants, and public spaces accessible and welcoming to individuals with autism and their families.

The press conference will feature several speakers, including city officials, community leaders, and representatives from Visit High Point & IBCCES. They will share insights on the journey towards becoming a Certified Autism Destination and the steps that were taken to achieve this recognition. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the initiatives and programs in place to support individuals with autism and their families in High Point.
