Greetings!

We hope you are having a wonderful summer full of fun and relaxation! Over the past year at Clarke, we have found added appreciation for the Clarke community by working collaboratively to seek out opportunities and overcome challenges as we learn, live, lead, and give together. This edition of the Clarke Magazine recounts many of the events and achievements that defined 2021-2022 for our students, alumni, and employees, including community involvement initiatives, President Chesney’s Inauguration, “One Clarke, One Community Week,” a record-setting season for our Women’s Basketball team, and a Commencement that not only celebrated the 232 students earning their degrees but also acknowledged the 70th Anniversary for the Class of 1952 and Phyllis (Symthe) Greer ’52, one of the first women of color from the United States to graduate from Clarke.

The magazine also shares a vision for the years to come in the form of Clarke’s strategic plan. As we look ahead, we welcome you to share your stories, professional and personal milestones, and feedback with us now and throughout the year as part of our Class Notes.
Thanks for a year to remember!
