Sacred Ground for Young People

If asked, almost everyone would admit that we prefer to avoid those things which make us uncomfortable... at least, I know that I like to avoid discomfort (hey, I'm a softy!).

But there's much to be learned from life's more uncomfortable moments. And as uncomfortable and awkward as it may be to talk about race, faith, and the way the two do (and don't intersect) in our daily lives, that's precisely what we're going to do.

Tomorrow night, we begin Sacred Ground for Young People. We'll play a game, talk about our awkward moments (I've got thousands of those!), and move into a discussion on very sacred ground. I hope your kids will join us for this important program.

Supper is at 5:30 PM

Our program begins at 6:00 PM

Club 456 Sunday School This Week!

9:30am in Club 456

This week, Ms. Jen DiCarlo leads Club 456!

That means - you don't want to miss it! While I'm away celebrating one of my best friends at his wedding, Ms. Jen will lead a lesson on gratitude!

You'll create "Gratitude Jars," play a game, and think about what it means to be "grateful" as we enter into Thanksgiving week!

It's going to be a great Sunday, and I can't wait to hear all about your time with Ms. Jen when I get back!

When: Sunday @ 9:30am

Where: Room Club 456

What: Gratitude

Thanksgiving Service Project!

In collab (that's how the cool kids say "collaboration") with the Neighborhood Christian Center, I hope you and your kids will join me to help prepare/package Thanksgiving meals that will be delivered to those in need on Wednesday, November 22 at 10am at the God's Love Covenant Church (address below!).

We can meet at the church and take the bus, if we'd like to go together, though!

There is no time requirement, we just want to show up and help out however we can!

Text me at 662-656-0653 if you'd like to join in!
