Mayor Cobble Holds State of the City Address

Mayor Jazzmin Cobble delivered her first State of the City address on Thursday, March 23 at 7 p.m. Mayor Cobble shared the accomplishments of the city and the vision for moving Stonecrest forward. The program included an open discussion between Mayor Cobble and Atlanta’s 58th mayor, Shirley Franklin about the best practices, challenges, and triumphs with moving a city forward through a transition. Mayor & Council presented Mayor Franklin with a Key to the City.

Mayor Cobble delivers Keynote at NJROTC Ball

Mayor Cobble delivers keynote address at the DeKalb County School District NJROTC Ball. Mayor Cobble is a graduate of Druid Hills High School. During her time in NJROTC at Druid Hills, she was a key cadet leader on staff. It brought back fond memories while engaging with cadets (receiving line) from various high schools in DeKalb County.

Mayor Cobble Hosts Wu-Tang Clan Management Team

Mayor Cobble along with City of Stonecrest’s Economic Development Director, William Smith joined members from Wu-Tang Clan Management to tour the City of Stonecrest and discuss economic development and small business growth in the City of Stonecrest.

Mayor Cobble held a check-in with the Parks & Recreation Department to discuss upcoming events and listen to employees. Acting City Manager, Ms. Gia Scruggs hosted an APPRECIATION LUNCHEON for city employees. Thank you Stonecrest employees. You are, truly the GREATEST!

Women's History Month Panel

The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated - Tau Pi Omega Chapter in partnership with New Bethel AME Church, hosted "Who Represents You". The panel discussion included elected women representing Stonecrest, Lithonia & Stone Mountain.

Career Day @ Briar Vista

Mayor Cobble attended Career Day at Briar Vista Elementary School. Principal Cammie Neill the current principal was Mayor Cobble's basketball coach when she was a student in the school system. Mayor Cobble talked to the scholars about her role and duties as the Mayor of the City of Stonecrest, GA.

Stonecrest Chamber Hour of Power

Mayor Cobble attended and spoke at the Stonecrest Chamber Hour of Power meeting. The mayor shared resources that the city can provide, initiatives the city has implemented, goals for growth and sustainability of businesses in our great city! Commissioner Lorraine Cochran- Johnson was a guest speaker at the event representing DeKalb County's Super District 7.
