WOMEN'S ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND RESEARCH
|
|
Global crises can be transformative from a research perspective, inspiring new research directions, theoretical lenses, methods and approaches. This can lead to new understandings, for example, of women’s entrepreneurship relative to their leadership, business innovation, community engagement and performance.
This issue of Fieldnotes focuses on an incredible new benefit of Collaborative membership, upcoming webinars and community conversations, and a call for papers. All are related to women’s entrepreneurship and research!

DIRI RESEARCHERS ROUNDTABLE:
COVID-19 IMPACT ON WOMEN'S ENTREPRENEURSHIP RESEARCH: NEW QUESTIONS, APPROACHES AND METHODS
Wednesday, June 24, 2020
11:00 EDT
(GMT-4)
The COVID19 pandemic crisis is hitting women business owners disproportionately hard. Not only are women-owned businesses as a population more vulnerable to economic impacts due to lower firm age and size, but women-owned businesses are also concentrated in the industry sectors hit hardest by the economic shutdowns (CNBC, 2020).Additionally, gender is rarely taken into account by policy-makers when developing disaster recovery responses (Bradshaw, 2013; Cupples, 2007).
All Collaborative members are invited!
