| | A Message from Pastor John | | |
Dear Columbia Friends,
This Sunday, you will have an opportunity to learn about various faith formation groups of Columbia Presbyterian Church. Representatives from different Bible Studies, small groups, and circles will be at the Gathering Area from 10:00am to 10:30am to help you discover a group that fits you. We hope you will be able to find a place to connect and grow in faith.
Our God desires for us to grow closer to him. In fact, he has called us into a deep, loving relationship that involves our entire being. Last Sunday, Pastor Matt shared with us what the Gospel is. The Gospel is an historical event in the person of Jesus Christ, which proves to us God’s love for us and his faithfulness towards us. This Sunday, we will hear from one of the most fundamental texts of Judeo-Christian faith, that calls us to deep relationship with God that goes beyond our religious duties.
Come, worship with us. And learn how we can grow deep in faith together.
Pastor John

There is a unique joy in making music with others to the glory of God. Singing in a church choir fosters a child’s faith and provides a sense of community and connection. As we approach the beginning of the new program year, I hope you will consider having your 2nd - 5th grader be a part of the Columbia Children’s Choir. We have the opportunity to present our songs in worship about every six weeks. Kids in Grove 345 are invited to bring a sack dinner to eat before the program starts at 6:00pm. Let us make a joyful noise to the Lord together this year. Register here.

Columbia Presbyterian Foundation:
Make-A-Will
| | |
Did you know that August is National Make-A-Will Month? If you have not drafted a will or trust, this is a reminder to consider doing so. Or if you do have a will or trust, it might be time to update your documents if situations such as changes in your family, estate value, or tax law have occurred. Your financial advisor or estate planning attorney should be able to help.
As part of your planned giving - in either a will or trust - we encourage you to consider including the CPC Foundation. Legacy giving adds an extra dimension to your stewardship and becomes an expression of gratitude and thanks to God for all that you have been given and enjoyed.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give..." 2 Corinthians 9:7
The Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization formed to provide long-term financial support for the church’s future. The Foundation manages the gifts and bequests it receives in an active portfolio. This year Foundation funds assisted CPC in funding ADA-compliant door operators and internal and external security cameras. If you wish to know more about the Foundation, please contact one of its board members: Connie Kearney, Bruce Farnsworth, Ward Cook, Ken Kirn, Jody Brown, Russ Garrow and ex-officio Pastor Matt.
