This Sunday might be one of those Sundays that our Enemy hates the most. It is the last Sunday of Eastertide, where we continue to remind ourselves of Christ’s victory over death. Next Sunday is Pentecost, commemorating the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church. And not only that, we are receiving new members into this body of Christ, some of whom are publicly professing their faith for the first time through the sacrament of Baptism. All this is proof that Christ has won, our Enemy is defeated, and God’s Kingdom is advancing forth.

But our victory in Christ looks a little bit different than victories we are accustomed to seeing. Victory in this world comes through strength and domination. But victory in God comes through humility, knowing that we are not capable of victory or good life or glory on our own, but only through full dependence on Christ. It comes through participating in the sufferings of Christ, because that also means participating in the glory of Christ. How does that work? How do we grab hold of that?



Come, join us, and find out how we can have victory through suffering. And come, celebrate with us, welcoming those who are joining our church, and participating in the advancement of God’s Kingdom here in the midst of us.

LIFT Day

We are so excited about our first ever LIFT Day at CPC! As of right now, we are approaching 100 individuals who will be serving in Clark County on behalf of CPC and Jesus. This group includes adults, children, and teens from CPC as well as students from the broader community who are a part of our Mowtown Teen Lawn Care program. We ask that you would please pray for our community mission partners and our participants using the Prayer Guide provided by the Missions Ministry Team.

We also wanted to let you know one final detail regarding LIFT Day. Please remember that you are welcome to drop off clothing for The Giving Closet today at the Church Office until 4:30pm or tomorrow, 1:00-1:30pm in the Gathering Area before we pray and launch our teams to their sites. Next year we will broaden this window for accepting the clothes.

Sermon Translation Services

We want everyone to feel welcomed, included, and able to participate fully in worship. We are now offering AI-powered translation services of the sermon in Spanish, Korean, and English. By scanning a QR code with your smartphone, you can select your preferred language and follow along with translated text in real time. Audio translation is also available when using headphones. We hope this tool helps remove language barriers and makes it easier for more people to connect, worship, and grow together. Postcards with instructions are available at the Welcome Desk.

Grad Sunday

We are excited to honor our graduating High School Seniors and give them an opportunity to participate in leading worship as well. Vacation Bible School

Monday, June 29-Thursday, July 2, 9:00am-12:00pm

Registration is now open and fills quickly.

Step back in time to ancient Egypt as we explore the life of Joseph. Through worship, crafts, and an interactive marketplace, kids will discover what it means to trust God. VBS costs $35 per child. Financial assistance is available upon request by emailing Tifny Mathena. Children must be at least 5 years old by the end of August to register for VBS. Children register based upon the grade they are currently in (ex. a preschooler in May will register as a preschooler and a 5th grader in May will register as a 5th grader). Register here.

We are looking for several items to help VBS run smoothly this summer.

• Batting (Any amounts, any kind…we’ll take it! WE LOVE LEFTOVERS.)
• Wire Coat Hangers
• Tin Cans over 20 oz. (washed and label removed)
• Solid Colored Fabric/Muslin (large pieces to drape over pop-up canopy sides)

Middle School Bike Hike - A New Direction... WEST!

July 26-August 1

Ocean Park, WA

Due to the possibility of a significant fire season, Bike Hike Leaders and the Youth Team have decided to move Bike Hike to Ocean Park Camp & Retreat Center in Ocean Park, WA! We are excited about being a bit closer, playing in a new location, and worshiping on the beach. Plus biking, hiking and more! Please reach out to Sarah with any questions or if you are interested in serving as a leader for the week. Bike Hike is open to 6th-8th grade students. Food Drive Thank You

Thank you for your dedicated support and generosity that led to the success of the Deacons' Spring Food Drive. We collected 32 boxes of food and hygiene items and $600 in donations. Items and funds were distributed equally between Clark County Food Bank and the Family Community Resource Center at Marshall Elementary, McLoughlin Middle school and The Heights Campus.
