If you or someone you know are looking for a preschool for the 2023-24 school year, Haynes currently has spots available for 3-year-olds and Pre-K kids! FAITH IN ACTION NEWS

Faith In Action: Our next meeting will be on Sunday, April 16, in the parlor following coffee hour. Sandwiches will be served.

Focus: Global Ministries and Refugee Services

Faith Choice Ohio

Rev. Terry Williams from Faith Choice Ohio lead an excellent training to church and community members. All left with an important education and a desire to meet again. The next training TBD will be on how to speak our values with others in a constructive way.

Poverty Simulation Success

We had over 24 attendees and we all learned a great deal. Poverty is complex and life changing and not for the better. We all walked away with a greater understanding and empathy for our dear neighbors in need.

Thursday, April 6

Our March community meal was prepared, assembled, and distributed on Thursday, March 2. We served our mac & cheese casserole, fresh apples, and Saint Patrick’s Day decorated Rice Crispy treats were made by Joanne and Vicki. We had 17 guests take 40 of our dinners and the remaining 8 were donated to AA.

Our volunteers were Donna Leisinger, Wendy Summers,

Paula Deal and John Kasper.

This committee is very thankful for the continued support from LCC. Peggi and Michael Mizen

Food delivery services have changed since the onset of Covid. If you have the means to donate, two local organizations that could be donated to are the Cleveland Food Bank and the Lakewood Community Service Center.

Each first Sunday of the month is our dedicated Hunger Sunday.

There are Hunger Envelopes at the back of the Sanctuary for your donation towards this LCC Ministry.

Music Makers

Would you like to share your music talents as a vocalist or instrumentalist in LCC’s worship service?

Please let us know what you’d be interested in sharing and whether you’d want piano or guitar accompaniment. Ben Malkevitch will reach out to you several weeks ahead of time to coordinate.”
