LCC's Community Meal

We will be offering our monthly

Community Meal

Thursday, October 5

We served 50 premade turkey, ham, and cheese sandwiches which were purchased at Gordon food service. Each person received two sandwiches, chips, homemade cookies, and a banana. We also served 4 non-meat sandwiches with the rest of the sides. Our Gordon food service bill was $138.98, our Giant Eagle bill was $15.41, and we ordered individual mustard and mayonnaise packages from Amazon for $29.50. Our workers were Susan Walker, Greg Robey, Donna Leisinger, and our two grandchildren, Kael and Paisley Gaul (they are six and three years old, respectively, and we thought it was a good time to have them start doing some community service :-)). The cookies were made by Susan Walker, Joanne Ritschel, and Nancy Fraunfelder. We had 23 people attend and all 54 meals were taken. Peggi and Michael Mizen

Food delivery services have changed since the onset of Covid. If you have the means to donate, two local organizations that could be donated to are the Cleveland Food Bank and the Lakewood Community Service Center.

Each first Sunday of the month is our dedicated Hunger Sunday.

There are Hunger Envelopes at the back of the Sanctuary for your donation towards this LCC Ministry.
