Journey to Jordan – Building Bridges
with Meagan Henry, Intern Minister
Sunday, January 10, 1:15 - 2:15 PM

Join our Intern Minister, Meagan Henry, for a presentation followed by a Q&A conversation about her focused initiative project. An integral piece of the Meadville Lombard Theological School ministerial internship process is for each Intern Minister to create and implement a project. Meagan is exploring the option of creating a cultural immersion initiative focused on the people, history, religion, and current events of Jordan. Located in the Middle East and sharing borders with Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Israel, Jordan is a fascinating place, filled with incredible archaeological sites and a rich history. Jordan is also feeling the effects of climate change and many there are working on adaptive sustainability initiatives to deal with challenges such as a water shortage. Meagan’s daughter lives in Amman, Jordan and Meagan has been to visit and tour the country on three separate occasions. She’s begun to build contacts with communities and organizations there and is excited to discuss the possibility of creating an international and interfaith ministry.

Chalice Lighting
During worship each Sunday, we are all invited to light our home chalices. Consider purchasing one for use while we are worshiping at home, together. Lighting and extinguishing our chalices is one way for us to honor our shared spiritual path.
