The electronic Charter Schools Program - QSO Program Design and Initial Implementation Request for Proposals (RFP)-Cohort II is now available through IWAS.

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit, from charter school design teams working with a school district or from charter schools currently in operation less than 2 years, proposals that meet the purposes of the federal public Charter Schools Program. All responses must be submitted electronically to ISBE by 4PM on March 20.
Any applicants interested in applying will need to submit the Letter of Intent to Apply Form in order to gain electronic access to the RFP. The Letter of Intent to Apply and further grant information can be found at https://www.isbe.net/Pages/Charter-Schools.aspx.

Q4 ENROLLMENT CERTIFICATION DUE MARCH 15, 2017

As a reminder, the 4th quarter enrollment certification for all Commission-authorized schools will be due by 10AM on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Please complete the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Certification form and provide it along with a student enrollment and waitlist of students (in Excel format) as of March 15 to SCSC.CommissionSchools@illinois.gov. Any payment adjustments for FY17 will be applied in the 4th quarter.

Teacher Job Fair
The
Illinois Network of Charter Schools (INCS) will host its 12th annual Teacher Job Fair on
Saturday, March 18 at ASPIRA Business and Finance High School.
Representatives from charter schools across the state will be on hand to recruit hundreds of teachers, social workers, counselors, nurses, and other administrators. INCS seeks highly qualified candidates who are excited to work in a mission-drive environment and are ready to TEACH, LEAD, and SUCCEED.
