Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” (Matthew 27:11). Join us this week in worship as we begin our Lenten sermon series, Power and Passion: Six Characters in Search of Resurrection. Who was the governor questioning Jesus? Where did he choose comfort over courage, and how can we choose differently? See you this Sunday at 8:30 or 11:00 in the sanctuary, or 9:00 for contemporary worship in Casper Holroyd Hall.

As Kimberly continues to do an incredible job serving as our Interim Director of Children’s Ministry, we continue to seek a permanent, full-time Director to lead this important ministry. We are looking for someone who truly loves kids and loves God. This leader will provide the vision for our children’s ministry, oversee our nursery team, equip and encourage volunteers, and create meaningful opportunities for children and families to engage in worship and grow in faith. Ideal candidates may come from a background in education, business, ministry, or a related field, with experience leading teams, organizing programs, developing curriculum, or building strong partnerships with families. Most importantly, we are seeking someone with a passion for helping children grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Please help us expand our search by sharing this link https://www.hbumc.org/employment and prayerfully considering who in your own network might be a fit.

A breath prayer is a short prayer of petition or praise that helps us become aware of the presence of God. You can follow your breath as you rest in God's love or use scripture, breathing in the first few words and then breathing out the rest of the verse. For example: "Guide me.........in your truth." Psalm 25:5; "Give thanks to the Lord......whose Love endures forever." Psalm 106:1; "When I am afraid.........I will trust in you." Psalm 56:3
