This same ministry is available to all members of our congregation who are experiencing any one of life’s challenges including, for example, loss of a loved one, a serious medical diagnosis, or divorce.

Fairport Farms is growing their Certified Naturally Grown, regenerative produce throughout the winter by installing new tunnels on their property to provide nutritious food to those that are food insecure in our communities all year.
For the first time they will offer a 4-week Winter CSA season in January 2026, with an option to donate shares to the NC State Food Pantry. Deliveries will be on the following Fridays: January 23, 30, February 6, 13.
The Winter CSA share will be shorter than our usual 8-week seasons, making it a great time to give the CSA a try. Click here to learn more and sign up by January 14.
| | "Prayer is first of all listening to God. It's openness. God is always speaking and always doing something. Prayer is to enter into that activity....Convert your thoughts into prayer. As we are involved in unceasingly thinking, so we are called to unceasing prayer. The difference is not that prayer is thinking about other things, but that prayer is thinking in dialogue......a conversation with God." - Henri Nouwen | | |
Prayer Requests
We believe God is present in the prayers we lift up for one another.
To add a name to the prayer concerns bookmark, published each week in the bulletin, please email prayer@hbumc.org. If your prayer concern is confidential, and you want only to share with the pastors, please indicate so in your email. We will keep names on the prayer bookmark for one month, unless otherwise requested.
Please hold these places and people in your hearts this week:
