This weekend, we continue our sermon series Hope Has Wings. When Jesus told us to "consider the birds," he was inviting us to pay attention to the ordinary places where God is at work. Throughout this series, we're exploring the surprising stories of birds found throughout Scripture to discover lessons about God's grace, provision, presence, and the hope that carries us through every season of life.
This week, we'll consider the dove and pigeon and ask a simple but challenging question: What if we've misunderstood what it means to be holy? Through these unexpected messengers, we'll encounter a God whose Spirit continues to show up in ordinary places and ordinary lives.
To help you engage more deeply with the series, we've created a companion meditation and reflection guide. Digital and print copies are available, offering weekly Scripture readings, reflections, and opportunities for prayer throughout the series.
We also invite you to join us during the 10:00am hour for a special Outreach Conversation in the Fellowship Hall, hosted by our Outreach Team. This week, representatives from Communities in Schools will share how caring adults can make a lasting difference in the lives of Wake County students and how members of our church can support local schools through mentoring and volunteer service.

Thank you to our congregation and to all of the adult and youth volunteers who generously gave their time, energy, and talents to make Vacation Bible School such a wonderful success. Together, we had an incredible week growing deeper in our faith, building lasting friendships, learning more about God's love, and discovering new ways to serve and support our community.
We also raised over $3,000 dollars for A Place at the Table and collected 6,054 diapers, 7,730 wipes, and 398 books for Diaper Train. Thank you!

This Sunday, during the 10:00am hour, representatives from Communities in Schools will share how caring adults can make a lasting difference in the lives of Wake County students and how members of our church can support local schools through mentoring and volunteer service.
Next Sunday, June 28th, we'll have a meaningful conversation hosted by the Outreach Team during the 10:00am hour. Learn from Refugee Hope Partners about the experiences of refugee families in our community and meaningful ways we can offer support, friendship, and welcome.

Join Pastor Lindsey virtually on Wednesdays at noon during July and August for a guided Examen prayer gathering. The Examen is a simple contemplative prayer practice that helps us reflect on where we have noticed God’s presence and invitation in our daily lives.
No prep needed - there’s nothing to read, bring, or study ahead of time. Simply log in and be guided through a gentle time of prayer and reflection. Each gathering will last approximately 15-30 minutes, making it easy to participate even on a busy day. Whether you’ve been practicing the Examen for years or you’ve never heard of it before, you’re invited to join us!
The virtual format makes it easy to participate from your lunch break, while traveling this summer, or wherever you may be. Attend as you’re able; you can join any week without needing to attend them all.

Have you ever wondered what pastors actually study in seminary?
This summer, join us for Summer Seminary, a six-week series of standalone classes held during the Sunday School hour in the Fellowship Hall. Each week, a different pastor will offer an accessible, engaging introduction to a seminary-style topic, including how pastors study scripture and prepare sermons, the meaning behind our sacred spaces and stained glass windows, why we worship the way we do, and how to develop more compassionate listening and companionship skills. No sign-up or preparation needed, just come as you are ready to learn and connect with others!
