When the pressure was on, Peter failed, denying Jesus and turning his back on his calling. Yet Jesus never turned his back on him. How is God calling us to greater faithfulness and freedom today? Join us this Sunday as we continue our sermon series, Power and Passion: Six Characters in Search of Resurrection. Traditional worship is held in the sanctuary at 8:30 (includes communion) and 11, and contemporary LightHouse worship starts at 9 in Casper Holroyd Hall.

This Sunday we recognize and celebrate our Starnes Class members and volunteers. We invite you to prayerfully consider sharing in the love and joy of the Starnes Class Sunday School class by becoming a once a month volunteer. This Sunday morning ministry welcomes adults with disabilities and shares the love of Christ through music, Bible lessons, encouragement, and fellowship. Volunteers provide helping hands, a listening ear, and refreshment for the body and soul. What we receive is invaluable - a heartfelt knowing that we are all beloved children of God, an understanding of the simplicity of faith, and a witness of deep dependence on God.

If you are unable to volunteer at this time, please know how much your prayers, presence and support mean to us. Feel free to pop into our classroom (patio side of the fellowship hall) and meet our friends during their time each Sunday at Hayes Barton UMC.
