One of the greatest ways we see love in action is through the incredible people who invest in our youngest disciples. This Sunday, across all three of our worship services, we will recognize and show our deep appreciation for all of our children and youth volunteers. These dedicated leaders have given so generously of their time, patience, and heart this past year to nurture faith in our community. We hope you'll join us in showering them with gratitude!

Thank You Reception for Amy Piland
For nearly 12 years, Amy Piland has served as Our Director of Membership & Lay Involvement. She has maintained the church membership rolls, led new member classes, coordinated our altar flowers and seasonal decorations, and coached the congregation through two different membership apps - all with patience, grace and a smile.
We want to celebrate her together this Sunday at 10:00am in the Well Atrium.

Meghan and her husband Matt live in Raleigh with their one-and-a-half-year-old son, Hayes. Meghan says that being a mom has been the BEST adventure so far — Hayes is such a happy, outgoing, fun little guy. In her free time, you can usually find her spending time with family and friends, hiking, reading, visiting the beach, cooking, scoping out new playgrounds with Hayes, or trying new restaurants.
Meghan will begin on July 1st and she is excited to get to know the children and families here at Hayes Barton!

As part of our ongoing work to live more fully into our mission and vision as a church, we invite you to complete our 2025–2026 Ministry Feedback Survey.
Our vision is to become fully alive as followers of Jesus Christ, and we seek to do this by choosing Christ, Community, and Compassion in all aspects of our life together. This survey is one way we can listen well, reflect honestly, and continue growing together as a congregation.
The survey includes questions about worship, adult spiritual formation, children’s and youth ministries, Wednesday night programming, outreach and fellowship, support, and accessibility. A separate survey related to our broader mission, vision, and values work will be shared later this fall.
Your feedback will help guide planning and priorities for the coming year, and we are grateful for your time and participation. Please complete the survey by June 19!

VBS is right around the corner (June 15-18), and we have been so blessed with over 100 volunteers committed to serving! While VBS registration for children has already closed, we still need 5-10 additional adult and youth volunteers to help shepherd our 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade groups during VBS week.
This role primarily involves guiding children from station to station, encouraging them throughout the day, and simply being part of one of the best weeks in the life of our church. No special training or skills required!

I've learned that I shouldn't worry about not knowing enough or seeking a perfect [prayer] practice. These are traps that place me and my ego in the center of spiritual practice, not God. Humility keeps me reliant on God for guidance; curiosity and persistence help me remain in a mind-set focused on growth. My meditation practice allows me to deepen my connection with God and others.
