As of November 13, we have received 345 pledges totaling $2.2 million toward our $3.5 million goal. Every gift brings us closer to fulfilling our mission and supporting the vibrant ministries that make HBUMC a place of hope, love, and service.

Join us this Advent season for a special combined adult Sunday school class as we explore great works of art that illuminate the themes of waiting, hope, and incarnation. No book or pre-reading required, just come ready to reflect, discuss, and prepare your heart for the coming of Christ. All adults are welcome! Join us for Generous Helping!

As a part of Generous Helping, we are excited to partner with NeighborHealth, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare to those in our community who need it most, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. There are many ways for you and your family to get involved:

Sign up to donate food through November 23rd .
Attend Generous Helping on December 3rd to help package the food backpacks.
Sign up to help deliver backpacks to the NeighborHealth clinic.
Make a monetary contribution on the HBUMC website (Select the Give tab, click Give Online, then select Generous Helping from the pull-down window).

As a reminder, we will have dinner on December 3rd.

Please join us from 5:00–6:30 PM, for an evening of family-friendly service projects benefiting local community organizations.

Enjoy a delicious hibachi dinner from Ruckus, including:

Asian Salad
Soba Noodles
Fried Rice
Grilled Zucchini & Onions, Broccoli & Carrots
Beef, Chicken, Shrimp
Veggie Egg Rolls

Then, participate in several service activities and end the night with cookies and hot cocoa at the parsonage!

Outreach Spotlight: The Methodist Home for Children

The Methodist Home for Children provides safe, nurturing homes and life-changing support for children, teens, and families across North Carolina. Through foster care, residential services, education, and family-strengthening programs, they help young people build a foundation for hope and a future filled with possibility.
