This Sunday, we continue our Red Letter Christians series with Jesus’ call to service. When the disciples begin thinking about status and greatness, Jesus turns their expectations upside down: “Whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant.” Together, we’ll consider what it means to follow the One who came not to be served, but to serve, and how that calling shapes the way we care for one another and our neighbors.
During the 10:00am Sunday School hour, the whole congregation is invited to Casper Holroyd Hall for a conversation with Pastor David. He’ll share how things are going at Hayes Barton, where we are as a congregation, and how God may be calling us forward in the years ahead. There will also be plenty of time for questions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 90th Anniversary Weekend, from our morning worship to the wonderful concert and dinner together!
As we look back on 90 years of ministry and look ahead to our next chapter, we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who's already made a pledge for 2027!
As of today, 281 households have pledged a total of $1.8M toward our $3.1M goal.
Throughout the Gospels, Jesus’ words call us to lives of love, generosity, compassion, and service. Your generosity helps Hayes Barton live out those words by nurturing faith, caring for one another, worshiping together, and serving our neighbors.
Haven’t made your pledge yet? It’s not too late! Every single pledge matters and helps us plan the year ahead with faith and purpose.
Thank you for helping Hayes Barton Live the Red Letter Life.

In all three worship services, we'll have a procession of candle-bearers as we speak aloud the names of our departed. Instructions will be provided. Thank you for helping us honor those we've loved who now rest in the eternal arms. | | |

Birds & Bees: Preparing for all those … awkward questions.
Join Raising Parents for a four-week conversation about one of those parenting topics we’ve ignored, successfully dodged or know is coming - but may not feel totally prepared for.
Drawing on content from the Birds & Bees curriculum, we’ll talk about how to have simple, age-appropriate conversations with our kids about bodies, sex, and where babies come from in a way that feels natural, honest, and consistent with our faith and family values. We’ll explore practical language, talk through the questions kids actually ask, and learn how to make these conversations an ongoing part of parenting rather than one big, awkward “talk.” No sign up needed!
Dates: October 14 & 21; November 4 & 11, 6:30-7:30pm
Leader: Peyton Stokley
