We are so thankful for our supporters, auction donors, sponsors, and guests who attended our 28th Annual Awards and Benefits Gala. We could not have achieved the results we did without all of you.

We are so grateful for the more than 200 attendees and numerous sponsors who donated $51,500 and the auction winners who spent over $12,000.

We are so blessed to have such an amazing committee, group of volunteers, and phenomenal staff to help us make this event a reality. Everything turned out so beautiful. We are blessed to have so many people who want to help us achieve our mission.

#GivingTuesday Helps Give Purpose at

The Arc Mid-South

The Arc Mid-South has been serving those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) for 73-years. Thank you to everyone who supported our 28th Annual Awards and Benefit Gala and virtual auction. It was a huge success.

Please join us in this year’s #GivingTuesday by visiting our Second Chance virtual auction. Click this link to start the bidding process. The auction will open at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, and close at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29.

Our purpose for existing is to help families stay together, keeping people integrated into the community and in their own homes. We couldn’t operate as we do without the help of this great community, and we are beyond thankful for the support we’ve received.

The Arc Mid-South is one of 600+ Arc chapters across the nation. The Arc is a community-based not-for-profit agency, dedicated to supporting and advocating for people with IDD through education, advocacy, and skill development in order to aid their full inclusion and participation in their communities throughout their lives.

#GivingTuesday is an opportunity for the community to show their support for the clients at The Arc Mid-South and all people with some form of IDD. This event has allowed us to do many things that we otherwise wouldn’t have had funding for: advocacy, employment, and our life skills program. Through our community’s generosity, we can give new opportunities to those with disabilities.

Last year, the funds raised during #GivingTuesday were used on a weekend retreat get away camp for health and safety supplies, activities and scholarships. This year, they will go directly into our life skills program. Please help The Arc Mid-South reach our #GivingTuesday goal!

The Arc Mid-South - Life Education and Skills Program Enjoying Social Recreation with Bowling

Our monthly outings are designed to increase social skills and “just have fun” hanging out with their peers as a healthy way to fellowship and put smiles on many faces. On Wednesday, November 15, our members enjoyed a day of bowling with good food and great company.

The Arc Tennessee's Family Engagement Program invites special education advocates to attend their Special Education Advocacy Network Groups. If you're a special education advocate, you are invited to join this Network Group Meeting to discuss what works well, what needs improvement, and what could be beneficial.

This meeting will take place over Zoom on Tuesday, November 28th, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
