Our vision is to have a community where no kittens are born wild on the street, no cat  capable of living in a home is lacking one, and no feral cats are wanting for food, water,  and appropriate care and concern.

This is our first Feral Food Drive as we hope to help colony feeders who are in dire need of food assistance. Our dedicated colony caretakers should not have to decide whether to feed themselves or their colonies. We will be at the office at 11411 Rendezvous collecting food that will be distributed to our colony feeders before Thanksgiving.
If you need a new t shirt or car magnet, or just want to stop by and say, Hi, we'll be there!

Global Cat Day Celebration

Our Global Cat Day event was a great success honoring our core volunteers who help us do what we do to help cats every single day!
These volunteers who go above and beyond received an appreciation gift (pictured) with our commemorative Fiesta medal.
Many thanks to guest speaker Cathy Rosenthal who spoke about volunteerism in animal rescue. We all appreciated her encouraging words.
Also thank you to our Spay/Neuter partners the Animal Defense League and the San Antonio Humane Society for their $15 trapper fee specials!
Our silent auction raised an  impressive  $1,546 for our Adoption Program! Thanks to everyone who donated items to make this a success!

At the event, it was our privilege to present Kathy Benson with this year's Volunteer of the Year Award.
We are blessed with many reliable and dependable volunteers  but Kathy takes it a step further - from trapping to fostering to bottle-feeding to answering the helpline to doing events, Kathy has done it all with a positive attitude and a smile! Congratulations, Kathy, on a well-deserved honor!

Cat of the month: Roadie

Roadie is my name, I am a Tortie female about three years old. I was found injured on the side of the road by a good Samaritan. I was still alive and rushed to the vet where they found I had a broken hip. I was fortunate enough to have SAFCC pay for my surgery out of their Cat Crisis Fund. I am recovering and gaining weight. I have a slight limp but if you did not know my story you would not be able to tell.

I am a quiet but social girl. I am independent but still like running and lots of attention. I get along with other cats and kittens but I'm okay if I'm the only girl. I still like to play and investigate my surroundings. If you are interested in me call/text Lorraine at 210-471-8462. email: crazykattlady67@gmail.com

My adoption fee is $100 which includes neuter, rabies shot, FVRCP shot, feline leukemia and Fiv test, and microchip. To download and print an adoption application click HERE
Allstate Foundation grant

We are fortunate to have SAFCC board member Lorraine Cantu, who is also an Allstate employee, use her volunteer hours to enable us to receive a $500.00 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands Grant. The Allstate Foundation supports the causes that Allstate agency owners, financial specialists and employees care about most by providing Helping Hands Grants to nonprofits where they volunteer their time to bring out the good in their communities.
