MAY Updates, News, and Resources
Greetings!
Happy May!

We hope that you are all hanging in there during this time of quarantine, we know it can make the weeks feel like months and the months feel like years, but we are focusing on the good things as much as possible: the slowly emerging Spring, connecting with friends and family more frequently than we did before, and learning all the fun games that can be played over Zoom.

We know that for some of you quarantine may be especially difficult, and we want you to know that we see you and hear you and we are here to support you. Together with partners from across the sate, we have compiled a living document of COVID-19 resources that we hope you will help us add to and build up, so it can be as useful as possible for those who are looking for support.

We want to wish you all good health, and hope that you stay safe and stay strong in this trying time. Don't hesitate to reach out to us if there's anything we can do to support you!

Thanks to gener ous funding from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health , our trainings are always free.

BLOG SPOTLIGHT: NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK
National Public Health Week is over, but we had so much fun writing about each daily topic, we wanted to share our content with you! We wrote about the importance of mental health care ; how maternal health exposes the racial inequities in the U.S.; why gun violence needs to be treated as a public health issue; how building a more equitable environmental health system is essential to protecting the health of all people and the planet; and finally, we spotlighted some of our colleagues who are working parents and gave them the opportunity to share how COVID-19 has put a particular burden on folks with children and other dependents. Bonus, they shared some adorable kid photos! Happy reading!
