Suicide Prevention & Internet Safety
Suicide Prevention Teen QPR
Please consider registering your middle or high school aged child for a free one hour suicide prevention training on May 6 after school at the Greenfield Public Library. The goal of the training is to teach students how to recognize the warning signs of suicide in their peers, understand the common causes of suicidal behavior, and how to get help for someone in a crisis situation. See the attached flyer for more information.

Internet Safety FREE Interactive eCourse for Parents/Caregivers
The Wisconsin Department of Justice's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Department of Public Instruction are teaming up to keep families safe online. The departments have launched a program called "Interact!" that will give parents resources to have conversations with their children about internet safety. Interact! is an online, free interactive e-course created for parents and guardians to complete with their children with the goal of sparking basic online safety discussions in the home. London Trip
Students who will be juniors or seniors next year have the opportunity to travel overseas during spring break 2020 to London and the surrounding areas on a trip entitled Literary Roads. The Best Buddies Friendship Walk
The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the number one walk in the country raising awareness and funds to support inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Join the Whitnall High School Best Buddies Club as they walk on Saturday, May 4! They've created a team, "Walking with Whitnall," and would love to have a great turnout from the Whitnall community. See the attached flyer for more information!

Booster Club Updates
The Whitnall Falcon Booster Club has a mission to provide opportunities to ALL WHS students in the areas of arts, athletics, and academics. The goal is to raise funds and club awareness to help support our mission and to ensure that EVERY student has the opportunity to be recognized for his or her accomplishments.   
This weekend, you could help support our mission. WFBC holds an annual spring fundraiser. Saturday 4/27 is Casino Night! Each and every dollar raised goes directly back to the students at WHS. We hope to see you all there for this great, fun community event. This event is open to the community; tell a friend and come have a great time for a great cause!

WMS Drama Club presents  Rockin' Around America

Edgerton Elementary
Volunteer Background Checks
Each grade level from K5 - 5 will be taking a field trip to the Whitnall School Forest in May. Permission slips will be sent home in the next few days. If you are interested in chaperoning this trip, please make sure you have an approved background check on file. Click here for the application and consent form. Once approved, your background check is valid for three years.
Book Swap
Edgerton is currently collecting gently used children’s books and magazines for our annual book swap to be held in early June. If you wish to donate any books you no longer want, they may be dropped off at the school office. This event is held in conjunction with our summer reading kick-off. With your donations, every Edgerton student is able to select several books to take home with them. Thank you for all of the donations so far!
Spring Concert Dates
Our K5 and first grade learners are busy preparing in music class to present their spring concerts. The first grade concert is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14 at 6 PM. The K5 concert is Wednesday, May 15 at 6 PM. Both concerts will be held in the EES Main Gym.
Principal Chat
Mark your calendars for our next principal chat on Thursday, May 9 at 6:30 PM in the EES Library before the PTO meeting. Mr. D’Acquisto will be providing an update on current EES events and will be available to answer any questions you may have.
Hales Corners Elementary
Construction Update
Our walkthroughs continue! Grade 4 will tour on Monday. The brick work has moved to the other sides of the building. Progress is steady!
Spring Concerts
Our spring concerts are here! The K5 concert will be held on Wednesday, May 1, and the first grade students will perform their concert on Thursday, May 2. Both concerts will be held in the Big Gym and start promptly at 6 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
Community T-Shirt Day
Our next community t-shirt day is Friday, May 3. Let’s see everyone wearing their tie-dyed t-shirts!
