Model A Decision & First Week Of School
If you have not had a chance to read this letter, which was sent to all families on August 18, please do so. The letter covers the board's decision to begin the 2020-21 school year with Model A and provides details about the slow start first week of school.
A Day In The Life
Each building has created a "Day In The Life" for an in-person student. These are now available on our Reopening Fall 2020 page. Principals are currently creating similar documents for our distance learners. Those will be posted on Monday.
Schedules & Teacher Assignments
On Tuesday, we sent a form for parents wishing to request a change to their instructional delivery choice. That form closes today. We will now need time to process those requests and create sections/classes accordingly. Student schedules and teacher assignments will be available by the end of next week.
Devices: Update, Charge, & Repair
Attention 7th through 12th grade families: With the start of the school year just around the corner, it is important that each district device is updated. This is automatically done when the device is charged overnight. Now is a great time for students to submit help desk tickets for any needed device repairs or to purchase a replacement charger!
School Photos
Two photo days will be held at Whitnall High School for anyone in the district to come get their photo taken (staff and students), so families with students in multiple grades can all attend together. We’ve worked with VIP to ensure social distancing and safe procedures. Students only are to enter the photo area this year. To avoid lines, please make every attempt to arrive during the following suggested time frames, assigned alphabetically by your family last name (see recommendations below).
