Child Development 2020-21
As part of Wisconsin’s Child Find requirement, Whitnall School District will continue to carry out the process of identifying, locating and evaluating children with disabilities.  Child Find activities extend to all children attending public and private schools in the district boundaries, as well as children who are homeless. Even during this time in a pandemic, we are still offering parents the opportunity to participate in Whitnall School District’s annual Child Development Day.

As part of Child Development Day, we invite children who are 3 years old to participate. Upon request parents will be asked to complete an Ages & Stages Questionnaire, by mail, which is a screening tool that assesses a child’s development in five areas. Once the questionnaire is returned and scored, parents will be contacted by phone or virtual meeting to review the results. If developmental concerns are identified parents will be able to schedule a time for their child to participate in additional, age appropriate activities at a Whitnall school building. At that time, staff will observe and evaluate developmental areas of concern.

If you have a child that is 3 years old and you are interested in participating in the Child Find process please complete the Google survey. The Ages & Stages questionnaire will be mailed to you once the survey is complete. The survey to request a questionnaire will remain open until January 8th

If you have additional questions, please reach out to Jackie Winter (jwinter@whitnall.com)
