Calendar Changes
Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we worked through the challenging weather the past couple of weeks. Student safety is always our priority, and predicting weather is anything but predictable. We have posted a revised school calendar on our district website. Here is a summary of the school calendar changes that were made:

  • Monday, February 18 is now a school day
  • Monday, April 22 is now a school day

Wheelchair Basketball
On Saturday, February 9, Whitnall is hosting an event where you can play and watch wheelchair basketball! Click here for a flyer that has all of the information.

Board briefs are simple summaries of our board meetings. Tails for Life Fundraiser
Whitnall High School is supporting a fundraiser at Noodles and Company to raise money for Tails for Life. Tails for Life is a 501c company that trains autism service dogs. This charitable organization will be providing a service dog to a Whitnall High School student. Please stop in at the  Hales Corners  Noodles and Company on February 8  between 4 and 8 PM and tell them you are supporting the fundraiser!
AP Exam Registration
Registration for AP Exams is now open through March 21. Follow this link to get to the registration form.

Fees may take up to 24 hours to be posted to your Infinite Campus account. Also attached is the 2018-19 Student & Parent Bulletin . Please don't hesitate to contact Rene Freyer with any questions.
Booster Club Updates
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 5 at 7 PM and join the Whitnall Falcon Booster Club for our monthly board meeting. WFBC has several lead positions as well as board positions that will be open this year. Your involvement will allow us to continue to give to students in the way we have in the past. Come to learn more about what WFBC does and how you might be able to help! 

Additionally, we are currently planning post prom and welcome any and all junior parents who would like to be involved in the planning. If interested, contact Jenny Carney at jacarney72@gmail.com . Post prom is open to all juniors and seniors at no cost to provide a safe, fun environment for the party to continue.

Casino Night registration is open! You won't want to miss this! You can get in on all the fun at Casino Night by sending back the registration form to school with your payment. Casino Night will be held at Root River Banquet Center on April 27! See attachment for more information and registration forms. Register in advance to save $10!

Whitnall Middle School
Hamilton Fundraiser
Thursday, February 7 from 4 - 8 PM, stop in or grab a pizza to go from Organ Piper Pizza! A portion of each purchase helps to offset an 8th grade opportunity to see the broadway play Hamilton in Chicago.
Electives Showcase - Rescheduling
Since the Elective Showcase was cancelled due to the weather, we will be adding it to our transition night, which will be held in the spring.
Mid-Winter Dance
Friday, February 8 is our mid-winter dance from 7 - 9 PM at WMS. Please have a ride to pick up between 8:45 and 9:00 PM.
STAR Assessment Data
Friday, February 8, students will be bringing home their mid-year STAR Assessment scores. Please look for these Friday after school. They will be handed out in Math and ELA classes.
Edgerton Elementary
PTO Pancake Breakfast
The PTO is hosting a pancake breakfast on Saturday, February 16 from 8 - 10 AM in the Edgerton cafeteria. Join fellow Edgerton families for this fun event! Registration information was sent home with students. Please return it to school by Friday, February 8. Click here for a copy of the form.
Kid's Heart Challenge
Way to go Edgerton Heart Heroes! We are well on our way to meeting our fundraising goal. It’s not too late to sign up your child and have them participate in the daily challenges. Click here for Edgerton’s school site. The students have been participating in heart healthy activities taught by Mr. Devine in their physical education classes. Thanks for supporting the fight against heart disease and helping us to reach our goals.
Six Flags Read to Succeed Program
Read to Succeed is a free program sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks that encourages students in grades K5 - 5th to read for fun! Every student who completes six hours of recreational reading before February 27 is eligible for a free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags Theme Park. Edgerton Winter Concerts
Please mark your calendars for the 4th and 5th grade concerts coming up this month. Grade 5 is scheduled for Wednesday, February 20 and Grade 4 is scheduled for Thursday, February 21. Both concerts will begin at 6 PM and will be held in the Edgerton main gym.
Hales Corners Elementary
Construction Update
Needless to say the work pace has slowed as the snow and temperatures fell this past week. However, some work was able to happen indoors as electricians worked in the warmth of the current HCE building.
2019-20 K4 & New K5 - Rescheduled
Registration for 2019-20 has begun for K4 students and new to HCE K5 students. Please follow this LINK for enrollment information. Please join us on Tuesday, February 5 in the Community Board Room at 5:30 PM for K4 information and at 6:45 PM for K5 information.
Zoo Trip
Please complete this survey if you are interested in chaperoning for the all-school zoo trip on Monday, June 10. All chaperones will be required to provide their own transportation and pay for their own admission (or use a Zoo Pass). As a chaperone, you will be assigned a small group of students in one grade. Siblings who don't attend HCE can't attend.
Mail Day
Mail Day is Wednesday, February 6. Please encourage your child to write letters to classmates and staff. Likewise, students love getting mail from parents, grandparents, and other family members. For the address of your child’s classroom, please click HERE .
Save the Date! The K5 General Music Concert will be Wednesday, May 1 at 6 PM. The Grade 1 General Music Concert will be Thursday, May 2 at 6 PM.
