District News
Internet Safety
Technology is a fully integrated aspect in all students lives both in school and at home. Students often enter kindergarten already proficient in navigating a digital device. Starting at an early age, it is important to establish technology guidelines and prepare students with strategies to make appropriate decisions when using technology.

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has recently released an interactive e-course for parents and guardians to complete with their children with the goal of creating an open dialogue at home around internet safety.

This 30-minute module provides parents with the opportunity to review their own tech use to set a good example; interactive activities to complete alongside their children, and follow-up resources and activities to keep the discussions going.

Please consider completing the e-course with your students and exploring many of the other resources for parents available on the WI DPI website.
