Hales Corners Library Offering
The Hales Corners Library is holding a No-School Workshop on Monday, Feb 17 from 2 to 4 PM. This is a drop-in program, no registration required. Details on the attached flyer.

Falcon Fest 2020
The Whitnall Falcon Booster Club (WFBC) will be holding its Falcon Fest Wine & Craft Beer Tasting event on Saturday, February 29, 2020. 

Join us for an evening of fun, featuring wine & beer tasting (cash bar available), snacks, games, raffles, silent auction items, and live music from U2 Acoustic.

Community Building Team
The Community Building Team's mission is to promote a safe learning environment and a positive culture by responding to the needs and voices of the learning community. We are looking for parents/family members to serve as representatives on the committee to offer parental/community voice. Responsibilities include attending monthly meetings to offer constructive contributions to the conversation. If you think you would be an asset to this team, complete the form  linked here . Please complete the form by Friday, February 14.
Whitnall Middle School
Career Day
Career Day at WMS offers an opportunity for 8th grade students to be exposed to a variety of career specialties through classroom presentations given by professionals. We are currently seeking volunteer presenters for our Career Day. If you are interested, click here for more information and to see a list of desired Career Day sessions.  

Our 2020 Career Day will be on Thursday, March 12 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
6th Grade Transition Night
March 12 | 6-7 PM

Whitnall Middle School will be hosting a transition night for our incoming 6th grade students and their families. Administration will be sharing about the WMS experience, and this will be an opportunity to connect with many of the WMS teaching staff and check out the building. More information will be shared through the Connect and sent out through each elementary school as we get closer.

Upcoming PTO Events
A restaurant fundraiser is scheduled for Tuesday evening, February 18th at Qdoba in West Allis - 2831 S. 108th St. The Family Fun Dance is on Friday, February 28th from 6:30 - 9:00 PM at the middle school. More information to come home soon about both of these events.
Admiral's Game with Pack 574
Come join Edgerton’s Pack 574 on Wednesday, March 25th at 7 PM for the 2nd annual Fundraiser Night with the Milwaukee Admirals. Scouts from Edgerton Elementary's Pack 574 will present the colors before the game. Kids Heart Challenge
Our students are having fun while participating in the Kids Heart Challenge. Thank you for all of your support. There is still time to have your child take the pledge of “Be Ready,” “Be Kind,” or “Move More.”  Register your child online at EES Kids Heart Challenge It’s free to sign up! Our event closes on February 14th so don’t delay. Our goal is 100% participation. Let’s do this Edgerton! 
Winter Concerts
Our 4th and 5th grade students are busy preparing for their concerts later this month. The grade 4 concert is Thursday, February 20th at 6 PM to be followed by the 5th graders at 7 PM. Both concerts will be held in the Whitnall High School Auditorium.
Hales Corners Elementary
Attention Parents of 5th Graders
As you read the Connect, please start checking out the info in the WMS section. This will help you have a head start on learning about the next steps to feel prepared. Make sure you have March 12 on your calendar for the 6th Grade Transition Night from 6-7 PM!
Kindness Week
Kindness Week will take place February 10-14. We have many exciting activities planned! Each day will have a dress up theme, which will be explained in a note being sent home with students Friday, February 7. Information can be found here .
Mail Day
Mail Day is this Wednesday, February 12! Students and staff love to receive mail. Be sure to get those notes and cards in the vestibule mailbox by 9 AM. Classroom addresses are found HERE .
Read to Succeed
The Six Flags Read to Succeed program is coordinated through the PTO. Each student that completes 6 hours of recreational reading will earn one free ticket to Six Flags. A flyer was sent home with the students providing information on the program and a link to the website to record the reading. All reading hours must be entered by April 3.

The Basket Bash donations sheet will be coming home today. Each grade level has a theme. Please consider donating either items or cash for the baskets. Donations are due Friday, February 14.
