There are three school board seats on the April 7, 2020 ballot. Five community members have filed for candidacy. Below is a list of the candidates.

HCL Offering
The Hales Corners Library is offering a No-School Workshop on Monday, January 20. This is a drop-in program, no registration required. See attached flyer for details.
An Invite from the Superintendent | Falcon Fest 2020
The Whitnall Falcon Booster Club (WFBC) will be holding its Falcon Fest Wine & Craft Beer Tasting event on Saturday, February 29, 2020. 

Join us for an evening of fun, featuring wine & beer tasting (cash bar available), snacks, games, raffles, silent auction items, and live music from U2 Acoustic.

This expo format will provide an opportunity to learn more about what happens in courses and activities/athletics at Whitnall High School. Parents and students can learn more and talk with teachers about what classes to pick for the following year or as part of their four year plan. Drop in for the session presentations on a variety of topics. Stay for the showcase presentations.

Volleyball Tryouts
Tryouts for 7th and 8th grade girls volleyball are held January 21st - January 23rd from 3:10 PM to 5:00 P.M. Girls must be registered online and have a current physical on file to tryout January 21st. If you have any questions, contact Jim Gableman ( [email protected] or 414-525-8654).
Career Day
Career Day at WMS offers an opportunity for 8th grade students to be exposed to a variety of career specialties through classroom presentations given by professionals. We are currently seeking volunteer presenters for our Career Day. If you are interested, see attached for more information and to see a list of desired Career Day sessions.  

Our 2020 Career Day will be on Thursday, March 12 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM.  
2020-2021 Registration
Current 6th and 7th Grade Students
Information will be sent home within the next week about timelines for current 6th and 7th grade students and steps for registering for classes for the 2020-2021 school year. We will be asking parents/guardians to talk with their student(s) about the options, make selections in Infinite Campus, but the final choices will be done at WMS to help make sure everything goes smoothly.

Current 5th Grade Students
WMS Guidance Counselors and Administrators will be coming to both HCE and EES to talk with current 5th grade students about their course choices for 6th grade. Information will be shared with both HCE and EES prior - we are just giving a heads up!
Edgerton Elementary
Kids Heart Challenge
The American Heart Association will be visiting our school on Monday, January 13 to kick off our Kids Heart Challenge. Students will begin learning about how to take care of their hearts, spreading the message to family and friends and helping others when they can. Please click on the link to learn more about this program and to register your student online. Read to Succeed
The PTO will once again offer the Six Flags Read to Succeed Reading Club. Students who complete 6 hours of recreational reading earn one free Six Flags ticket. Information was sent home with your students before break. We hope you will consider participating! Save the Date
The Edgerton PTO is sponsoring events in the coming weeks that you won't want to miss. Friday, February 28th is the annual Family Fun Dance to be held at Whitnall Middle School. On Saturday, March 14th, they will be hosting a pancake breakfast in the Edgerton cafeteria. Watch your email in the coming weeks for more information about both of these events.

Grade Level Events
We are engaging families in grade level events throughout the year. Take a look at the upcoming dates. All events are 4:30-6:00 PM.


  • 2nd Grade Family Engagement Night will be held Tuesday, January 14. Students will showcase work from the first semester. 
  • 3rd Grade Family Engagement Night will be held Wednesday, January 15.  Math is the focus of the event.
  • 4th Grade Family Engagement Night will be held Thursday, January 16. The theme is puzzles.
After School Enrichment
After school enrichment class information, including Chess, Mad Science, Spanish, Let’s Code It, and Stage Stars, can be found here . If you’re interested in enrolling your child, do so soon; many classes start in early February.
Community Service Project
For their community service project, fourth and fifth grade Destination Imagination teams will be collecting boxes of macaroni and cheese and gently used coats for all seasons. Bins will be located by the doors on Godsell Avenue. Items will be collected through February 7.
