The 2019-20 Calendar
The 2019-20 calendar was approved by the board on Monday, December 17. The exact dates and times of the fall and spring conferences have not yet been determined.
Two-Way Communication Focus Group
On January 21 at 6:30 PM, the district will be holding a focus group related to two-way communication (one of our district goals). While you can review district goal #6 , essentially, we are looking for input on developing a platform where stakeholders can easily ask questions, participate in district info or opinion gathering, and share information. We are excited about creating a space where our stakeholders can initiate the conversations! Sign up here!

Whitnall High School
Dance Team Fundraiser
The Whitnall Dance Team is hosting a "One For The Team" event on January 15th at the Hales Corners Chipotle from 5-9 PM. Click the link to access the flyer and show this to your cashier when paying for your meal. 33% of the proceeds will be donated to the Whitnall Dance Team! We hope to see you there!
Spring Musical
Whitnall Theatre is proud to announce that the spring show will be You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown !

8th Grade Open House and Transition Night
January 24 at 5:30 PM is the 8th Grade Open House and Transition Night at the high school. Learn about the course pathways for college and careers. Attendance at this event is highly encouraged.
ACT Prep
Whitnall High School will be holding a ZAPS Seminar on February 13 and 14 from 3:30 - 6:00 PM. It is a great chance for juniors and seniors to prepare for the upcoming ACT. Please sign up at:   www.doorwaytocollege.com or call 877-927-8378. The cost of the 5 hour ZAPS program is $95.00.

PTO Meeting
We are nearing the mid point in the year, which means PTO is starting to plan for the 2019-2020 school year. All PTO officer positions are 1 year positions - if you are interested please send an email to:  wmspto@whitnall.com
Noodles Fundraiser Night
On January 17, grab dinner at Noodles & Company in Hales Corners from 4-8 PM. A portion of the proceeds go to support our WMS PTO! Check out the flyer!
Electives Showcase
January 31st is the WMS Electives Showcase from 6 - 7:30 PM! Come meet our electives staff, and be ready to participate! There will be a brief welcome at 6 PM, but feel free to come at any time, as there will be a running introduction video in the cafeteria. This is open to all current WMS families and to any current 5th grade students/families! Check out the flyer!
8th Grade Open House and Transition Night
On January 24, WMS along with WHS will be holding a transition evening from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Whitnall High School. Please meet in the auditorium. All current 8th grade students and families are encouraged to attend!
8th Grade Boys Basketball Tournament
WMS is hosting the 8th Grade Boys Basketball Tournament Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 17 starting at 3:30 PM. Come cheer on the WMS team and get a snack from the PTO concession area!
Edgerton Elementary
Box Top Prize Drawing
The next box top prize drawing will be on January 17th. Clipping and sending in box tops is an easy way to support Edgerton Elementary. Each box top is worth $0.10 for our school. Click here for a list of participating box top products.

Cub Scout Service Project
Edgerton’s Cub Scout Pack 574 is sponsoring a shoe drive for the Soles4Souls Foundation. Soles4Souls creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Their vision is to disrupt the cycle of poverty. From January 2 - February 1, please consider participating in this program. Bring your gently used shoes of any kind to Edgerton’s school lobby. There will be labeled bins to collect the shoes. Coffee with the Principal
Edgerton parents are invited to join Mr. D’Acquisto for coffee and discussion about Edgerton current events on Thursday, January 24 at 8:45 AM in the EES conference room. This is a great time to ask any questions you may have.
Hales Corners Elementary
Construction Update
A special mailbox was just installed at HCE across from the school office. Students and parents are encouraged to submit their questions about the project to our construction company, CGSchmidt. The letters will be answered in a weekly recorded interview, and a running “Frequently Asked Questions” document will also be created. You can also follow the progress through weekly construction reports linked HERE .
January 15
On Tuesday, January 15, parents are invited to join Mrs. Komas for a “Principal Chat” at 6:30 PM. Join us to discuss HCE and to ask any questions you may have.

The PTO meeting follows at 7 PM. All of the school board candidates who will be in the primary election on February 19th have been invited to attend and introduce themselves.
Spirit Wear Day
Friday, January 18th, is spirit wear day. HCE attire, Whitnall attire, or wearing blue and yellow counts toward your class tally! Show your school spirit and earn a pizza party at the end of the year!
