Wake Up Call
"Wake Up Call" will be held at Whitnall High School on February 6. "Wake Up Call" is a life-size exhibit of a teen's bedroom with more than 20 red flags that can signal drug or alcohol use. Click here for the flyer.

Falcon Fest 2020
The Whitnall Falcon Booster Club (WFBC) will be holding its Falcon Fest Wine & Craft Beer Tasting event on Saturday, February 29, 2020. 

Join us for an evening of fun, featuring wine & beer tasting (cash bar available), snacks, games, raffles, silent auction items, and live music from U2 Acoustic.

Booster Club Fundraiser | Quotes for Kids
The booster club is partnering with the Joe Krolikowski Agency of American Family Insurance. For every person who receives a no obligation insurance quote from Joe (a Whitnall alum!), the booster club will receive $20. Career Day
Career Day at WMS offers an opportunity for 8th grade students to be exposed to a variety of career specialties through classroom presentations given by professionals. We are currently seeking volunteer presenters for our Career Day. If you are interested, click here for more information and to see a list of desired Career Day sessions.  

Our 2020 Career Day will be on Thursday, March 12 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
2020-2021 Registration
Current 6th and 7th Grade Students
Current 6th and 7th grade students will be getting their registration materials at the start of February. Now is a good time to talk about what elective options your students may want to take for the 2020-2021 school year.

Current 5th Grade Students
WMS administration and counselors will be visiting elementary 5th grade classrooms in the next few weeks to talk about WMS and 6th grade. Registration information for current 5th grade students will be sent home mid-February.
6th Grade Transition Night
March 12 | 6-7 PM

Whitnall Middle School will be hosting a transition night for our incoming 6th grade students and their families. Administration will be sharing about the WMS experience, and this will be an opportunity to connect with many of the WMS teaching staff and check out the building. More information will be shared through the Connect and sent out through each elementary school as we get closer.

After School Enrichment Opportunities
There are a couple of after school programs starting up in the next few weeks here at EES. Click on the links below for more information.
Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run is an after school program that will be offered to EES girls in grades 3-5 beginning March 10th. Online registration takes place February 1-6. Girls will meet with trained coaches twice a week for 10 weeks. National Wear Red Day
Edgerton will participate in National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 7th. This is a day to raise awareness for heart disease by wearing red. Also, since we are currently participating in our Kids Heart Challenge campaign, this will be a great reminder for our students to keep working on their “Be Ready,” “Be Kind,” and “Move More” pledges.
Winter Concerts
Our 4th and 5th grade students are busy preparing for their concerts later this month. The grade 4 concert is February 20th at 6 PM to be followed by the 5th graders at 7 PM. Both concerts will be held in the Whitnall High School Auditorium.

At each PTO meeting, a school report is shared, updating parents/guardians on the events in grade level and specialist classrooms. The January 2020 report to the PTO can be found HERE .
Parent Representative Needed
Our PBIS Committee is looking for a parent representative to provide input on our schoolwide or Tier 1 efforts to help students learn to be safe, respectful, and responsible. Meetings are held monthly on the second Monday. If interested, please contact Mrs. Komas at 414-525-8802 or [email protected] Having parent input would be so valuable!  
Mail Day
Mail Day is rapidly approaching! Get those notes and cards in by 9 AM Wednesday, February 12. The mailbox is located in the vestibule by the office. Classroom addresses are found HERE .
Noon Hour Supervisor Position Open
Do you enjoy working with children? If so, HCE is looking for a Noon Hour Supervisor. The position is Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. In addition, we are in need of substitutes for this position. Please log into WECAN at this LINK to create an account and apply.
