Hales Corners Library
The library community said goodbye to Youth Services Librarian Megan Lohrenz at the end of December as Megan is following a different career path. In the upcoming weeks, the library will be interviewing applicants for our youth services position. Two candidates will be selected as finalists and asked to conduct a virtual program. When we get to this step in the process, the library will be looking for families to participate in the programs and help review the candidates.
WHITNALL HIGH SCHOOL
Second Semester Schedule Changes
The high school semester ends January 22nd. Second semester classes will begin January 25th. Any student or parent requesting a schedule change for second semester must do so before the end of the semester. Please reach out to the student’s counselor for the change.
WHS Expo
The WHS Expo is February 3rd. This second annual event replaces the spring parent teacher conferences. The expo provides an opportunity for parents, students, and community members to learn more about the academics, athletics, and activities that the school has to offer. Request for Art Supplies
Mrs. Weeks has requested that in-person students replenish their art supplies for the second semester. Below is a list of the items requested. Thanks for helping to make this a great learning year!

Art Supplies for Second Semester
Crayola Classic Colors Markers Broad Line
Crayola Crayons (I highly recommend the Twistables as those do not break)
2 Sharpies (1 Fine Point and 1 Ultra Fine Point)
1 Glue Stick
5 #2 Pencils
An extra large pencil box or plastic bag to keep all art supplies in.
Disinfecting Wipes
Many of our classrooms are running low on disinfecting wipes. If you are able, please send in a container or two with your child. They seem to be more available in the stores these days. Having these on hand in the classroom helps students and staff to disinfect quickly and effectively. Thanks for helping us to keep EES healthy!
Distance Learning Photos
If any Edgerton distance learning families have photos of their students studying or working virtually, we’d like to include some of them in the yearbook and/or future newsletters. Please email your photos to Amanda Marek at amarek@irgens.com
HALES CORNERS ELEMENTARY

Many of our classrooms are running low on disinfecting wipes. If you are able, please send in a container with your child. They seem to be more available in the stores these days. Having these on hand in the classroom helps students and staff to disinfect quickly and effectively. Thanks for your contribution!
Drop Off and Pick Up Safety Reminders
  • The north lot is not a pull in location for drop off or pick up of students. It is a staff parking lot for our traveling and shorter day assigned staff as well as a safe location for students with handicapping or ambulatory issues that are short or long term.
  • We are seeing students with and without adults crossing in the middle of Godsell Avenue again. This isn’t a safe procedure. Please take the extra steps to the crossing guard for safe passage.
  • When pulling off the drop off/pick up lane please look over your shoulder to ensure safe merging into the exiting lane. Watching the green vested staff member who is directing traffic is essential to avoid any collisions.
Lost & Found
We update the Lost & Found padlet daily. Here is the LINK. You can email jleonard@whitnall.com or ablaedow@whitnall.com and the item can be returned to your child.
