Health Services Update
The health services website has been updated with new resources to help guide you and your family through frequent COVID-19 scenarios. The district’s COVID-19 numbers have remained low the past couple of weeks. A huge thank you goes out to you all for keeping our community safe! However, this does not mean we can let our guard down and let up on our precautions. Families are asked to review these COVID reminders which will help keep our students and staff healthy and our schools open for in-person learning.

Assessments
Spring is the time of year that most state assessments are administered. The student assessment system is a comprehensive statewide program designed to provide information about what students know in core academic areas and whether they can apply what they know. State assessments will not be waived as they were in the 2019-20 school year. The Whitnall School District will continue to take the necessary precautions to stay safe to stay open as we embark upon this in-person testing season.

Below is information about each state assessment, or you can learn more from the Department of Public Instruction website by clicking here

  • The Wisconsin Forward Exam is given at grades 3-8 in English and mathematics, at grades 4 and 8 in sciences and 4, 8, and 10 in social studies. This assessment will be administered between March 22 and May 14.
  • ACT Aspire is the test for students in grades 9 and 10 and focuses on reading, math, English, science, and writing. These assessments will be given between April 5 and May 19.
  • The ACT with writing is given to students at grade 11. This test will be administered March 9.

Additional information will be provided from the school regarding how to prepare for the assessment, what the schedule is for the assessment, and other general information.

If you have any questions about the assessments, please contact the building principal.
