On November 6, the results of our facilities needs survey were presented. The survey results are here and can be accessed at any time on the Referendum 2018 page of our new website. Progress Checkpoint
November brings us our first “progress check” of the school year. Please take time to log into Infinite Campus and look over your child(ren)’s progress information. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact teachers for further discussion. Taking advantage of parent/teacher conferences is another way to engage in conversation around grading and reporting.

November Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad
The November Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad will be held during parent teacher conferences on Wednesday, November 15th in the Cafeteria at 6 PM.
Booster Club Annual Spirit Wear Store
The booster club has opened its annual spirit wear store! The store is open through November 13th.

Whitnall Baseball Ornament Sale
Looking for a unique holiday gift? Would you like show support for the high school? Whitnall Baseball has the right item to meet your school spirit and holiday needs! For only $12, you can order an unbreakable Whitnall Falcon ornament and help the baseball team raise money to upgrade their facilities. Cash or checks will be accepted at the WHS Athletic Office from November 3rd -13th. Please make checks payable to WHS Baseball. 


Annual DECA Food Drive for the Hunger Task Force
This year’s DECA Food Drive is well under way with a goal of collecting 35,000 lbs of non-perishable food items for the Hunger Task Force. By now, you should have received your grocery bag and instruction letter containing information on how you can participate. On Saturday, November 11th, one hundred Whitnall High School DECA members will be coming through your neighborhoods to collect your donations. Please have your bags out at the end of your driveway by 10:00 AM. If you are not available Saturday, feel free to drop them off at the main entrance to the high school. DECA will also be accepting donations in the high school stadium parking lot from 10 AM - 5:00 PM on Saturday. Thank you for participating in this Whitnall High School tradition and helping to feed the needy families of southeastern Wisconsin!
AFS International Bake Sale
The Whitnall High School chapter of AFS is hosting an International Bake Sale during the high school Parent / Teacher Conferences next week. The bake sale will be held on Wednesday, November 15, from 4-7 PM in the hallway outside of the gym. On your way to talk to your students' teachers, stop by the AFS table and purchase a delicious treat, learn about what AFS is about, and meet some of our exchange students from France, Switzerland, and Austria. Bon appétit! Hyvää ruokahalua!
Whitnall Middle School
Makerspace Donations
The middle school is looking for contributions to their Makerspace. In the spirit of kindness and goodwill, they are encouraging their students to create something to give to a loved one during the upcoming holidays. Currently, they are looking for the following items:

balsa wood
scrap wood for projects (various sizes)
tarp(s) (for painting)
craft paint
paint brushes (small and medium sized)
jewelry making items
beads
buttons
wire
metal
fabric for sewing
sewing needles
fleece
smooth, flat stones
tall white athletic socks -- new or used (used must be clean) :)
ribbon

If you have anything to donate, please put it in the Makerspace bin at the school entrance.
Culver's Family Day

On November 14, a portion of all purchases made at the Culver's in Hales Corners with THIS COUPON will go toward WMS student activities. No need to cook on parent teacher conference night!
Edgerton Elementary
Picture Retake Day
The photographer will be at EES on Wednesday, November 15 to retake student photos. If you are not satisfied with your child’s photo order, please send the packet back to school with a note indicating that you would like the photo retaken. Any students that were absent on the original picture day will also have their photos taken on November 15. Activity pictures will also be taken, so scouts can wear their uniforms if they wish.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 16 from 4-6 pm and Friday November 17 from 12 - 4 pm by appointment only. Schedules may vary slightly by teacher. You should have received an email from your child’s teacher with instructions on how to sign up for a conference. If you have questions regarding conferences, please contact your child’s teacher directly.
Half Day of School
Friday, November 17 is a ½ day of school for elementary students only. Students will be dismissed at 11:20 AM. Note, there is no YMCA program after school when students are dismissed early.
EES PTO Craft/Vendor Fair and Holiday Shop
The PTO will host its annual Craft/Vendor Fair and Holiday shop on Saturday, November 18th from 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM. In the lower gym, kids can shop for gifts in the Holiday Treasures shop from 9-12. Upstairs, there will be crafters, vendors, and concessions. Santa will also be available for photos from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Stop by and enjoy some holiday fun!

Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences are on Thursday, November 16 from 4:00-6:00 pm and Friday, November 17 from 12:00-4:00 pm. Conferences with our Physical Education, Art, and Music teachers are available also. 
Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair is being held during the Parent Teacher Conferences in our HCE Library. Great books available for readers of all ages!
