Increasing Rigor in the Whitnall School District

Please join us for our next Parent Learning Academy on Thursday, December 6th. Based on input and current events in our schools, our main topic will be “Increasing Rigor in the Whitnall School District.” We will look at current data, data trends, and action plans. As always, if you have questions that fall outside of this topic, feel free to reach out to teachers or administrators for further discussion.

We have added a food service box right outside of the district office for those looking to drop off money for their child's lunch account. You will find directions and envelopes for leaving the cash or checks made out to the Whitnall School District.

The Whitnall School District will be sponsoring their 21st annual "Whitnall Child Development Day" program on Friday, November 30th. The program combines a developmental screening of preschool children with an opportunity for parents to learn more about child and family related services in the community. All families with 3 year olds residing in the Whitnall School District are welcome to attend. Please complete the

Dance Team Poinsettia Fundraiser

The Whitnall Dance Team is hosting their annual poinsettia fundraiser to help fund their dance season. Funds raised will be put towards competition outfits and travel expenses as well as supplies. For more information, please see this

Parent Teacher Conferences

WMS Milwaukee Bucks Night
|

On Tuesday, November 20, the WMS PTO will be hosting an eat & earn at Cafe Zupas. It will be held at the Cafe Zupas located at 84 South on Layton Ave (8775 West Sura Lane) from 5 PM - 9 PM. Mention that you are there for the WMS PTO fundraiser and your purchases will be counted automatically. Give yourself a break from Thanksgiving preparations and enjoy someone else cooking for you! PTO Craft and Vendor Fair Tomorrow!
|
Edgerton PTO’s annual craft and vendor fair is tomorrow, Saturday, November 17 at Edgerton Elementary School from 9 AM - 2 PM.
From
10 AM - 1 PM
, while adults shop our local crafters and direct sale vendors, kids can enjoy their own holiday shoppe.
There will also be pictures with Santa for only $5 (10 AM - 1 PM), letter writing to Santa supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a bake sale, and concessions. All proceeds will benefit Edgerton Elementary.

Mark your calendars for our Grade 2 and 3 concerts. The students have been working hard and are looking forward to performing for family and friends. Grade 2 is scheduled for Wednesday, December 19 and Grade 3 is Thursday, December 20th. Both concerts will be at 6 PM in Edgerton’s Main Gym.

There are currently many unlabeled articles of clothing, lunch boxes/bags, water bottles, and other items that are in our Lost and Found. If your child is missing anything, stop by and check our lost and found. All unclaimed items will be donated in late December. In addition, please take a moment to label your child’s personal belongings with their first and last name. It will help us reunite found items with their owner.

We are holding a ceremonial groundbreaking on November 21 at 9 AM outside of HCE, facing Janesville Road! Due to the construction, we have IMMEDIATE changes to our drop off and pick up procedures that begin on Monday, November 19. An informational letter and Drop Off/Pick Up diagram was sent home with all K4 students and the youngest K5-5th grade child in each family. The diagrams are also available on our
HCE website

Come join us at the next PTO meeting on Tuesday, November 20 at 7 PM. Prior to the meeting, you can join Mrs. Komas at 6:30 PM for a “Principal Chat.” The meeting is held in the library.

Gratitude Soup by Olivia Rosewood is our November book of the month. As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, our HCE staff is thankful for the students, parents, and many volunteers that make our school successful! Happy Thanksgiving!
