ASVAB
Juniors and seniors are invited to take the ASVAB (this test is optional-NOT REQUIRED for students). There is NO CHARGE for taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) CEP (Career Exploration Program). Whitnall will be offering the ASVAB on Monday, December 16th at 8 AM in the Community Board Room. Registration forms are available in the High School Counseling Office and are due by December 11th.

What is the ASVAB
The ASVAB is a test that consists of eight individual tests, including general science, arithmetic reading, word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, mathematics knowledge, electronics information, auto and shop information and mechanical comprehension. The eight tests are scored and are used to compile three composite scores for verbal, math skills, and science and technical skills. These scores then produce a broad number of occupations that the test taker might like to pursue. In addition, each branch of the military will have their own personal breakdown of the ASVAB test scores. The test scores will be available 2-4 weeks following the test day.
