What's Up Whitnall?
Check out this week's What's Up Whitnall? from the Athletics and Activities Department!
Bus Transportation
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we started the school year with some of our bus routes running late. We continue to update route times with First Student to be more consistent as the routes become more routine for our drivers and changes diminish.

Elementary
The afternoon drop off times that you will see in Infinite Campus are based on buses departing from the elementary schools at 3:40 PM. Bus departures may occur as late as 3:55 - 4:00 PM as routes transition from the HS/MS to Elementary.

High School & Middle School
Our high school/middle school routes complete their routes and then immediately begin the elementary routes. A few items are imperative in order to give our buses the best chance to be as timely as possible:
  1. After buses drop off high school students in the morning, they must cross 116th St. in order to get to the middle school as quickly as possible. We are working to get coverage to stop traffic on 116th St. in the morning at the bus exit. Please be cognizant to allow our buses onto 116th St. to head southbound towards the middle school as they exit the high school. This will help in allowing our buses to start the elementary routes as quickly as possible.
  2. High school buses will depart the high school at 2:53 PM to cross 116th St. towards the middle school. Buses will then depart the middle school by 3:05 PM.

Ridership Reminder
If your child is eligible to ride the bus and you indicated in 2021-22 online verification that your child was not going to utilize the bus this year, we have removed your child from their bus route. Please know if your plans change and you wish to have your child be routed again, to please contact Kay Larson at 414-525-8526. We would need a 48-hour lead time in order to provide you with timely route information.
Open Youth Cross Country Race
Whitnall will be hosting its second and final open youth cross country race on October 11 at Whitnall Middle school. Please see the link provided for entry and information. Hope to see you out running with the Falcons!

Share Your Photos!
The 2021-22 yearbook team is looking for photos that you take at school games or events, especially for those that a yearbook student is not at. Submitted photos will be considered for use in this year’s yearbook. It’s a new tool called Yearbook Snap!

  • Upload "Yearbook Snap" to your smart phone.
  • Once uploaded, you will be prompted to enter a school name.
  • The passcode is whitnall (all lower case)
  • You can then select and upload photos directly from your device. You will be prompted to put the photo into some preset categories and also asked to input the names of the subjects in the photo (or left blank if you don’t know).
Senior Photos & Ads
Seniors need to upload their senior photo for the 2021-22 yearbook no later than November 1. Go here for instructions. Families who want to purchase a yearbook ad for their seniors can also find information on how to do that here.
School Photos
If you would like to order prints of your school photo, go here. If you have questions about the ordering process or other questions, email [email protected].

MAP Testing
WMS will be starting MAP testing next week for grades 6-8. Math MAP Testing will occur next week on Tuesday (10/5) and Wednesday (10/6) in students' math classes. ELA MAP Testing will occur the following week on Tuesday (10/12) and Wednesday (10/13) in students' ELA classes. We encourage students to get a full night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and come to school with a fully charged Chromebook. We thank you for all your support in making MAP testing as successful for our students as possible.
Photo Retake Day
The photo retake day for WMS is October 12 and it will take place at Whitnall Middle School during school hours. This is for families who would want to retake their child’s photo, or for any student who did not get their photo taken during our original picture days prior to school starting. If you ordered a picture package, but would rather have a retake on this date, your child will need to bring the original package back on this date.
