Photo Retake Day
WHS Photo Retake Day will be Tuesday, October 20 (7 AM - 12 PM). This is for students who have already had their photo taken and would like a retake to purchase photos. This is also for students who have not yet had their photo taken this year. All students -- whether on-site or a distance learner -- need to have a photo taken each year for Infinite Campus, the yearbook, and an ID. (Photo Retake Day is not for students who just want a new photo for the student ID.) Photos are available to view and order within a week after photo day. Since you can view your images online, prints will not be replaced once they are ordered. If you’d like to be notified when upcoming photos are ready to view, click here. To place your order after photo day, follow these steps:

1. Go to vipis.com
2. Type in Whitnall High School
3. Click on “School portraits”
4. Enter your student’s information

Photos will be sent to your home. If you have questions about the ordering process, email support@vipis.com.

Bullying Prevention Month
October is National Bullying Prevention month. As previously communicated, we are having a virtual presentation with Matt Wilhelm, a professional BMX rider and motivational speaker who will touch on a variety of topics including anti-bullying. Students and teachers have been recording questions this week in their Connect classes for Matt to be included and answered in his virtual presentation at the end of the month. This presentation was paid for through our Act Now - Anti-Bullying Grant we received through Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. This program also provides free educational modules and resources around bullying prevention that we hope to have students engage in throughout this year.
Reminders
Water Bottles: WMS students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school to hydrate throughout the day. Our water fountains are equipped with touchless, sensor activated bottle fillers.

Mask Reminder: Several of our students are coming to school without masks or with masks that are not sized properly. Please send your child each day with a mask that fits properly over your child’s mouth, nose, and chin. An extra mask or two is a good idea to store in your child’s backpack.
