Budget Hearing & Annual Meeting | September 28
On Monday, September 28, we will hold our budget hearing and annual meeting starting at 6:30 PM in the Whitnall High School Auditorium. Check out our website page for more documents for the annual meeting.
Meal Program Information | September 21-25
The high school offers a breakfast program each year. As part of the USDA waiver, breakfast meals are free for the high school and distance learners. This is a program that is in addition to the free lunch meals that are offered across the district on a daily basis. This program is slated to end either December 31, 2020 or when USDA funds are depleted, whichever comes first.

Meal pick-up for distance learners is on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 11:30am-12:00pm at Whitnall High School, Door 15. If you need an earlier or later pick-up time, please call (414) 525-8430 or email Nick Foti, Administrative Assistant, at [email protected]. Please use the Google doc below to sign up.

Please remember to still complete a free/reduced application for the 2020-2021 school year. This will allow you to keep receiving free or reduced price meals once the USDA waiver ends. If you have any questions, please reach out to Karen Stichart, School Nutrition Manager, at [email protected].

Booster Club Update
In the new normal of our school year, we are all getting used to doing things in new and different ways. Change – the new normal.

What hasn’t changed – The Booster Club will still be supporting our students across the board in Academics, Athletics and Activities. Since the pandemic began in earnest, we have purchased equipment for baseball/tennis maintenance, approved football practice breakfast expenditures, bought the Whitnall Seniors yard signs, sponsored our annual welcome to Freshman year t-shirts for the entire class and most recently provided Custom Spirit Bandannas for each student – both in person and virtual. We are also still hoping to bring in an all-school speaker this fall.

What has changed – No fall concessions means a loss of Booster Club revenue. And membership purchases, the other main source of revenue, are down over 100 families from last year. Understandable due to the very real financial pressures created by Covid and the fact that we can’t offer our main membership benefit to you this fall: free entry into sports.

So we are changing with this challenge – All memberships will be offered at 50% off through Dec 31. Family is now $30, individual $15. Hopefully we will have sports later in the school year that will allow spectators – you’ll get in free with your membership. But if not, rest assured that your 501 3c tax deductible payment will be going to a good cause – your student’s school year enrichment. Click here to purchase: https://www.whitnallfalconboosterclub.org/membership

New PE Procedures
Due to the current situation, our procedures for physical education classes will change slightly from previous years. To begin the year, students will NOT be using the locker rooms; therefore, there will NOT be a required uniform, nor will they be changing for class. It is expected that on days when students have PE, they come to class with proper footwear and clothing necessary to be physically active. Please send students with non-marking soled shoes. Masks will be worn during class when social distancing is not possible. This will be kept in mind when choosing activities for class. There will be a designated area for mask breaks for students to use. We suggest that all students bring an extra mask that they can either use specifically for PE class or they can change into after class. We will be going outside as much as possible, weather permitting, so please have students dress for the weather. Also, please send your student with a water bottle for use during class. Please label the bottle with their name. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s physical education teacher.

Items to bring:
-non-marking soled PE shoes
-extra socks
-labeled water bottle
-extra mask
-deodorant to be left in backpack
-sweatshirt/sweatpants depending on the weather

Picture Retake Day
Picture Retake Day will be Tuesday, October 13th. Students who did not take their school photo in August or need a retake will have their photo taken on this makeup day.
Drop Off & Pick Up
As each map shows, the process is slightly different. Follow the directions of staff in the safety vests. DO NOT call your child to cross these lanes or try to attempt to cross to the sidewalk during these times.

Drop Off - BEGINS at 8:25AM. Don’t drop students unless you see the supervisors present. Use the ENTIRE sidewalk that is parallel to the school and the Safety Sidewalk to let your child out of the passenger side of the vehicle. The EAST lane is for cars as they pull away from the curb or are moving to a drop off space.

Pick Up - Join either of the two lanes and you will be directed to the Safety Sidewalk that is NOT along the building.
Student Lunches
Student lunches will be served at no cost through December 31, 2020 or until funding runs out, whichever comes first. This is possible through the USDA extension of nationwide waivers for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and Seamless Summer Option (SSO).
