Meal Program Information | September 28 - October 2
The high school offers a breakfast program each year. As part of the USDA waiver, breakfast meals are free for the high school and distance learners. This is a program that is in addition to the free lunch meals that are offered across the district on a daily basis. This program is slated to end either December 31, 2020 or when USDA funds are depleted, whichever comes first.

Meal pick-up for distance learners is on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 11:30am-12:00pm at Whitnall High School, Door 15. If you need an earlier or later pick-up time, please call (414) 525-8430 or email Nick Foti, Administrative Assistant, at [email protected]. Please use the Google doc below to sign up.

Please remember to still complete a free/reduced application for the 2020-2021 school year. This will allow you to keep receiving free or reduced price meals once the USDA waiver ends. If you have any questions, please reach out to Karen Stichart, School Nutrition Manager, at [email protected].

Student & Family Assistance Program
A healthy home and family life helps to nurture academic excellence. To promote healthy homes, minds, and families, Whitnall is continuing to offer the Student and Family Assistance Program (SFAP) to all K-12 students and families. The SFAP is a free and confidential benefit, paid for by the school district, to help your family create a healthy, supportive home environment and develop strategies to overcome various life challenges. The SFAP offers direct counseling and consultation with licensed professionals using a family systems approach.

The SFAP offers families (up to) six consultations per issue. While many concerns can generally be resolved within the SFAP services, SFAP counselors will help connect families to additional community resources and/or insurance-based providers if they are needed.

To learn more about these services, please refer to this video, visit aurora.org/eap or call 800-236-3231. You can also reach out to the Pupil Services staff in each building or visit our district webpage for more information.
Chromebook Insurance Reminder
The enrollment period for Chromebook insurance has been extended until October 1.

The plan covers unintentional damages to a student Chromebook at home or school for an annual fee of $20.00 per device. Please follow this link for more information: 1:1 Chromebook Protection Plan

Show Your Falcon Pride On Your Lawn!
Did you know that research has shown that students with higher levels of school spirit perform better academically, and are happier in general? In order to promote that positive mind set (& have some Blue & Gold fun!) our Student Council is planning great Spirit Week events for our high schoolers the week of October 12 – 16. With that in mind our SkillsUSA students and Cheer Squad have teamed up to bring that school spirit to your home or business!

By clicking here https://www.whitnallfalconboosterclub.org/product-page/falcon-stencil-fundraiser you can order your own Whitnall Falcon to be painted on your front lawn for spirit week. No front lawn? No problem- click here https://www.whitnallfalconboosterclub.org/product-page/falcon-pallet-fundraiser – the students will deliver a pre-painted pallet to your home or business to be displayed to show your Falcon Spirit! While the fundraiser is being run by the WFBC (therefore your purchase is a tax deductible donation) every dollar earned is funneled right back to the students who are doing the work.

The SkillsUSA Team is creating the stencils and pallets while our Whitnall Cheer Squad will be doing the painting on your lawn. Samples of both products will be posted on the WFBC Facebook page next week as well as viewable in person at our four schools by October 3. Be able to say you were in on the first year of what we hope will become a Homecoming tradition in the future.

“School spirit is a powerful reflection of pride, achievement and determination. It goes hand in hand with positivity and is a benchmark of a school’s holistic success.” ~Jeff Webb

Water Bottles & Masks
Students are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle every day to school.  Although our water fountains are disconnected, we have wonderful filling stations with chilled water for students to access. We want to be sure they stay hydrated throughout the school day. Please be sure the bottle is clearly marked with your child’s name.

Many students are coming to school with masks that are too big and do not fit properly.  Please send your child each day with a mask that fits properly over your child’s mouth and nose. Additionally, be sure your child has an extra mask in your child’s backpack in case a backup is needed.
Photo Makeup Day
School photo makeup day is Friday, October 9th. Students who did not take their school photo this summer or need a retake will have their photo taken on this makeup day.
