Children’s Bureau Releases Supplemental Chafee Funds - The Children’s Bureau has released $344 million in additional Chafee funding that was authorized in he the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. Further guidance from the Children’s Bureau on these funds and other child welfare related provisions included in the act are expected soon.

CLASP Releases Policy Brief Outlining Challenges for Immigrant Families During COVID-19, February 11, 2021 - The Center for Law and Social Policy released a policy brief last week outlining how policies implemented during the pandemic have exacerbated hardships facing immigrant communities, even though they make up a large population of essential workers. The brief recommends policies for Congress and the new administration to proactively meet their needs as immigrants continue to support the nation’s recovery.

Systems for Action Call for Proposals, February 17, 2021 – The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Sys tems for Action program seeks proposals to measure the impact of collaborations across medical, social, and public health systems that allow organizations to equitably share in the costs and the benefits, with up to $2M available in grants. Proposals are due June 9.

Using Executive Function Principles to Build More Effective Human Service Programs - The EFWorks Library website houses curated resources for human service programs to learn about and implement an Executive Function-informed approach to service delivery, with a focus on services to adults. The resources available are divided into two key categories: Fundamentals, focusing on the science and core concepts, and Implementation, focusing on resources that identify ways in which staff can embed an EF-informed approach in their program.
State Medicaid Agency Interoperability Survey - NESCSO conducted a brief survey of State Medicaid agencies to better understand how States are implementing the requirements of the Interoperability and Patient Access Final Rule (CMS-9115-F). The survey reflects responses from 34 States.
MESC Call for Educational Sessions & Proposals, March 8, 2021 - The Medicaid Enterprise Systems Community (MESC) Call for Proposals is open. Proposals should reflect areas that improve and advance the Medicaid Program. The themes for this year are: Regulatory Compliance, Procurement, Operations, Data, and Innovation. Affinity tracks are: Medicaid and Health Information Technology, and Third Party Liability. Deadline for submission is April 23.
