Pickleball For All - Hosted by College and Young Adults

This Saturday, October 18th, 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.| The Gym

Join us for an afternoon of fellowship and pickleball! Whether you’ve never played before and want to try it out, or you are a pickleball pro, come join us! We will set up 3 different courts in the gym (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) so you can play at your speed. We will have paddles and balls available for those playing on the courts, or you can bring your own. All ages are welcome; parents please supervise your children and help them out on the ‘beginner’ courts. Don’t forget your water bottles, and bring a snack to share!

Book of the Week

Arlo and the Keep Out Club

Betsy Childs Howard & Samara Hardy

Ages 4-7

Arlo has been longing to play with the big boys on the playground. But when he’s given the opportunity to join their club, he is faced with a tough decision. Will he gain the acceptance of his new friends by doing what he knows is wrong, or will he do the right thing even though it may lead to rejection? Going against the social grain can often leave us

feeling lonely, but in his grace, Jesus enables us to do what

is right and stays by our side when we feel left out.

Assistive Listening System Available in Sanctuary

We offer an Assistive Listening System in the Sanctuary for those that have mild to moderate hearing loss. These small devices will provide direct audio during the entire worship service and will allow you to adjust the volume to meet your individual needs. You must sit in the main center section of the sanctuary to use the system. The system is not available in the North or South chapels.

If you would like to take advantage of this new system, please stop by the sound booth.

Sign Up for Pulpit Flowers

Sign up to provide flowers on Sunday morning! Arrangements cost $45; Fanny’s Flowers will deliver them to the church before the Worship Service.

The arrangement is yours to take home after the service.

Please make checks out to “SGCC” and mail to the church. Scan the QR code below to sign-up.

Giorgos & Danai Kalantzis

Greece

We thank God for...

  • the rest He gave us during the summer as we prepared for this coming academic year.
  • our students, in Greece and abroad. God’s Work is spreading and transforming people!
  • the opportunities we had in the summer to proclaim the Gospel and the Lordship of Jesus. May God use our frail words to bring people to salvation for His glory.
  • our church at Pagrati, our spiritual family, our friends all over the world. God’s family is precious and He keeps reminding us.

Please pray...

  • for this new academic year. May our students love the Lord even more.
  • for the proclamation of the Gospel in Greece.
  • for our online courses for those who can not attend in person. This is the first time in the college’s history we are hosting online courses. May this go smoothly and be a blessing to the students.
  • for wisdom and discernment as we minister to our students.
  • so that God will provide for our needs as we work for the proclamation of the Gospel and the edification of His Church in Athens.
