Book of the Week

Read, Think, Pray, Do

A Kid's Guide to Reading the Bible

by Simon Camilleri & Dominic On

Ages 4-7

Read, Think, Pray, Do: A Kid's Guide to Reading the Bible is a colorful, engaging picture book that guides children and their families in reading and applying the Bible.

The book uses a four-step approach—Read, Think, Pray, and Do— to help children understand and engage with Scripture, encouraging a lifelong love for God's Word and practical application.

Assistive Listening System Available in Sanctuary

We offer an Assistive Listening System in the Sanctuary for those that have mild to moderate hearing loss. These small devices will provide direct audio during the entire worship service and will allow you to adjust the volume to meet your individual needs. You must sit in the main center section of the sanctuary to use the system. The system is not available in the North or South chapels.

If you would like to take advantage of this new system, please stop by the sound booth.

Sign Up for Pulpit Flowers

Sign up to provide flowers on Sunday morning! Arrangements cost $45; Fanny’s Flowers will deliver them to the church before the Worship Service.

The arrangement is yours to take home after the service.

Please make checks out to “SGCC” and mail to the church. Scan the QR code below to sign-up.

Randy & Sandy Moyer

Crossworld France

Please pray:

Our teammate Derek is dealing with some government paperwork/residency challenges. The secular state will not allow him to receive any funds from the church, and his teaching job is also uncertain. Derek is a key leader in the church, serving as an elder and doing much of the preaching.

Another elder, Proper, who is in the medical field, is uncertain if his contract will be renewed.

It is our desire that Derek and Proper be able to continue to live and serve in St. Etienne.

Steve & Sally Hagman

Operation Mobilization

Praise & Prayers

We will be in the Middle East for about 7 weeks. We will be visiting workers and friends. We also have a 7 day prayer journey. There will be 20 participants and Steve is helping to coordinate the time. Lastly we will finish our time in a southwestern city where Steve and others will help with bathroom renovations. Pray for all the various travel logistics to go smoothly, good health, God-inspired times of prayer and worship, and that we will be an encouragement to all we encounter.

Pray that the many peoples from the area we visit will come to the Lord Jesus, and that they will grow in their love of the Lord and desire to bring Him honor.

Islam and materialism are current barriers to the Lord’s work among the people. Pray for the Lord to remove these barriers that currently are holding people

  • Pray blessing over the farms and businesses of the area and that they will recognize the blessing of fruitfulness comes from the One True God.

  • Pray that the Lord will reveal Himself to the people and that they will “rejoice and blossom” as worshippers, both now and in the future.

  • Pray that the story of Abraham will be understood by the people. The story is familiar yet different in Islam. (According to the Islamic tradition Ishmael was the one who was going to be sacrificed.)

  • Pray that this sacrifice that they celebrate each year at Eid Al Adha will be revealed as a picture of what Jesus Christ did for them on the cross.

  • Pray that the people will understand that Jesus was the only suitable and perfect sacrifice for their sin.

  • Pray that the Christian heritage of one group in the area will be revived, and that God will build His church in the surrounding areas.
